Focal Slatefiber 165 SF3 is a 3-way component kit designed for car audio. For high-end three-way front installations where each driver can be positioned correctly. Dedicated small midranges offer useful flexibility for vocals and soundstage development.
Key strengths and best application
165 mm Slatefiber woofers, 65 mm Slatefiber midranges and aluminium/magnesium inverted-dome tweeters. The added driver increases crossover and phase-adjustment complexity; measure each driver acoustically and confirm summation before aggressive equalisation. The 65 mm midrange is not a substitute for the door woofer.
Fitment and system planning

Fitment and installation
Three-way Slatefiber set: separate 165 mm door woofers, 65 mm midrange drivers and tweeters need rigid mounting, crossover coordination and acoustic measurement. Active operation needs enough DSP and amplifier channels.
