Deaf Bonce AP-T25 NEO V2 Review: A 50 W Super Tweeter, and What Isn't Listed

Updated: Oct 6

The Deaf Bonce AP-T25 NEO V2 is a pair of Apocalypse super tweeters with neodymium magnets, aluminium bodies and 1-inch CCAW voice coils, rated at 50 W RMS (100 W max) into 4 Ω with a response of 4 kHz to 20 kHz. At ₹21,990 MRP, it is the most expensive of the five Deaf Bonce super tweeters we stock and carries the highest power rating. Its 50 W rating points to hard-driven, loud systems where a tweeter needs thermal headroom, and its size to installers who can build a pod for a large, deep tweeter. Its listing also gives less data than our listings for its siblings, which this review spells out. See today's offer on our AP-T25 NEO V2 product page.

Deaf Bonce AP-T25 NEO V2 Apocalypse neodymium super tweeter pair

In brief

  • A 50 W RMS super tweeter with a neodymium motor and aluminium body, the highest rating among the Deaf Bonce super tweeters we stock.

  • Deaf Bonce's product page gives no SPL figure, diaphragm material or recommended crossover, and the manual linked from it has no machine-readable text, so plan to set filters and levels by measurement or by ear.

  • It needs a 62.4 mm hole and 53.0 mm of depth, more than any of its siblings, so you will probably need a pod.

  • The V2 suffix matters: Deaf Bonce's site also has a page for an AP-T25 NEO without it.

These figures match Deaf Bonce's official AP-T25 NEO V2 page, checked in October 2026, which, like our listing, gives no SPL, diaphragm material, recommended filter or box contents, though the manual linked from that page has no machine-readable text, so we could not check whether it adds any of them.

Who needs a 50 W tweeter?

Most systems don't. Above about 8 kHz, music carries only a small share of its total energy, so even a 35 W tweeter rarely sees anything near its rating when it is filtered properly and the amplifier isn't clipping. The extra 15 W of rating over the AT-32 and MFT-25 earns its keep in less forgiving situations: competition-style systems held at high levels for long periods, builds where the tweeter shares a powerful midrange channel through a passive network, or installs where the gain structure leaves little margin for clipping.

In those cases, more thermal headroom is genuine protection. The aluminium body helps too, as a solid mount. What the rating doesn't tell you is how loud the tweeter plays per watt, because no SPL figure is listed; it is a measure of how much abuse it should tolerate, not of output.

Setting it up without an SPL figure or crossover

Deaf Bonce's product page gives no recommended filter for this model, and we could not read the manual linked from it. Our listings for its siblings, such as the AT-32, give Deaf Bonce's recommendation of an 8 kHz high-pass at 12 dB per octave, and the AP-T25 NEO V2 shares their listed 4 kHz lower limit. That makes 8 kHz at 12 dB per octave a sensible place to start, but it is our suggestion, based on those siblings, not a Deaf Bonce figure we have seen for this model.

The missing SPL figure has a practical consequence: you can't predict the level match with your midrange from the spec sheet. Set the tweeter channel's gain low to begin with and raise it gradually, or better, use a DSP and a measurement microphone; our guide to setting up a DSP covers the process. Deaf Bonce's MFA-4.80, listed at 80 W x 4 into 4 Ω, is one amplifier whose high-pass reaches 12 kHz at 12 dB per octave, so it can apply that starting point directly. If you go passive, remember that a single capacitor gives only 6 dB per octave.

What owners and reviewers say about the Deaf Bonce AP-T25 NEO V2

When we checked in October 2026, we found no owner or reviewer opinions on the AP-T25 NEO V2. The retailers, catalogues and forums we tried were blocked to us or didn't list it, and the official page carries specifications but no description, so we can't report how it sounds or how it compares in use.

At this price, that is worth knowing before you buy. If you own a pair, especially in a high-power build, we would value your experience.

AP-T25 NEO V2 vs AT-32, TH-25G and MFT-25

The Apocalypse AT-32 (₹13,990) is ₹8,000 cheaper, fits a smaller 53 mm hole with 34.5 mm of depth, and lists a 108 dB SPL figure, but is rated at 35 W. If you want the efficiency case on paper, the AT-32 has the numbers; if you want thermal headroom, the AP-T25 NEO V2 is the one. The Hannibal TH-25G (₹10,990) also has an aluminium body, adds a titanium dome and a response listed from 3 kHz, and needs a 57.3 mm hole, while the Machete MFT-25 (₹8,990) is a compact, lower-cost option at 41.5 mm.

Who should buy it, and who shouldn't

Buy the AP-T25 NEO V2 if you run a loud system hard for long periods, your tweeters may share a high-power channel through a passive network, you want a metal-bodied tweeter, and you can build pods for a 62.4 mm, 53 mm-deep driver. It shares the Apocalypse series with high-power midranges such as the AP-M67AN.

Skip it if you want published efficiency figures to plan with, you need to fit a tweeter into a small or shallow location, or your tweeters will have their own well-set amplifier channels, where a 35 W model such as the AT-32 is enough.

Installation notes for Indian cars

This is the largest and deepest tweeter of the five, so factory locations are likely to need work. A 62.4 mm hole and 53.0 mm of depth often mean a dedicated pod on the dashboard or a fibreglass A-pillar; our article on aluminium pods shows one way to do it. Check for curtain airbags inside the A-pillar before cutting.

With a packed weight of 1.00 kg for the pair, use screws or brackets rather than adhesive, especially on rough roads. The aluminium body is no guarantee against dashboard heat, so keep the tweeters, cable insulation and any passive parts away from the hottest surfaces. VA3 Car Studio in Ghaziabad can fabricate the pods and set up the filters and levels.

Price and where to buy

The Deaf Bonce AP-T25 NEO V2 has an MRP of ₹21,990 for the pair. VA3 Car Studio often sells below MRP, so check the current offer on the AP-T25 NEO V2 listing. Deaf Bonce's speaker catalogue lists the V2, and its site also links a separate AP-T25 NEO page, so make sure the box says V2. Every pair we sell is genuine.

Deaf Bonce AP-T25 NEO V2 - another view

The bottom line

The AP-T25 NEO V2 is about headroom: 50 W RMS, a neodymium motor and an aluminium body for loud systems that are pushed hard. It asks more of the installer than its siblings, with no SPL or crossover on its product page and a large, deep body that usually needs a pod. Start the high-pass around 8 kHz, set levels carefully, and buy it if thermal margin matters more to you than paper efficiency.

Deaf Bonce AP-T25 NEO V2 FAQ

Where should I set the crossover for the Deaf Bonce AP-T25 NEO V2?

Deaf Bonce's product page gives no recommendation for this model. Its siblings, such as the AT-32, are listed with an 8 kHz high-pass at 12 dB per octave, and the V2 shares their 4 kHz lower limit, so we suggest 8 kHz at 12 dB per octave as a starting point.

Is the AP-T25 NEO V2 louder than the AT-32?

There is no way to tell from the specifications, because neither our listing nor Deaf Bonce's product page gives an SPL figure for the V2. The AT-32 lists 108 dB and a 35 W rating; the V2's advantage is its 50 W rating, not a known output figure.

Will the AP-T25 NEO V2 fit my factory tweeter location?

Probably not without work. It needs a 62.4 mm cut-out and 53.0 mm of depth, the largest of the Deaf Bonce super tweeters we stock, so it often needs a custom pod or fibreglass A-pillar.
