In a multi-amplifier VXi build, JL's VXi-HUB synchronises DSP presets and DRC remote commands across the networked amplifiers, so one remote can command the whole system.
For a TwK88, the included DRC-200 already handles presets, so buy the DRC-205 only if you specifically prefer its controls. For the FiX 86, it is the optional remote JL lists; whether it earns its place depends on how often you expect to adjust the system after the initial calibration.
DRC-205 or VXi-BTC?
Both cost ₹16,990 at MRP, so a VXi owner may well weigh one against the other. The VXi-BTC is a Bluetooth JLid communicator: it lets a compatible iOS or Android phone running JL's TüN Mobile app configure and control a VXi amplifier or VXi network. It is for tuning and control only, not music streaming, and its listing names only VXi amplifiers and VXi-HUB networks.
The DRC-205 does less but reaches further. It is a physical control that works without unlocking a phone, and the catalogue lists it for FiX and TwK processors as well as VXi amplifiers. If you want to adjust tuning from a phone, the BTC is the tool; if you want a knob you can use by feel at a traffic signal, the DRC-205 is.
