Focal Access 165 AS is a 2-way component kit designed for car audio. A front-stage upgrade for cars that can accommodate a 165 mm midwoofer plus a separate tweeter position. The separate high-frequency driver allows more control over staging.

165 mm DFS woofers, separate aluminium inverted-dome tweeters and crossovers. The aluminium inverted-dome tweeter can be sensitive to aim and level; verify your preferred balance in the car rather than assuming brighter sound is better detail.

For the Access 165 AS woofer, Focal publishes Fs 73.8 Hz, Vas 8.9 L, Qts 0.905, Qes 1.03, Qms 7.43, Xmax ±2.5 mm and 62.9 mm mounting depth. This high-Q woofer benefits from a carefully sealed baffle and a measured high-pass rather than assuming full musical bass output from a nominal 60 Hz specification.
