Figures come from Audison's SR 5.600 page and its technical sheet, both promotional documents, and match our listing.

Choosing between 5-channel and 3-channel mode

Audison lists a selectable 5-channel or 3-channel mode. In 5-channel mode the four speaker channels are rated 75 W each into 4 Ω and the sub channel 330 W into 4 Ω. In 3-channel mode two speaker channels are rated 230 W each into 4 Ω, plus the sub channel at 310 W into 4 Ω or 550 W into 2 Ω. Front and rear pairs plus a subwoofer is the 5-channel layout; two speakers plus a subwoofer is the 3-channel one. Check the connections for your mode in Audison's manual before buying speakers.

Audison's 1010 W headline is the 2 Ω sum: 4 x 115 W plus 550 W. With 4 Ω speakers and one 4 Ω subwoofer coil, the same ratings add up to 630 W (4 x 75 W plus 330 W). They describe different loads, so work from the load you will build.

Matching speakers and a subwoofer to the ratings

Most door speakers are 4 Ω, so 75 W per channel is the figure to plan around; compare it with each speaker's continuous RMS handling, not its peak rating. The 115 W figure applies only when a channel sees 2 Ω, such as two 4 Ω speakers sharing a channel.

The sub channel carries the largest rating on this amplifier. A single 4 Ω voice coil receives 330 W, while a dual 4 Ω subwoofer with its coils in parallel presents 2 Ω and receives 550 W. Pick a subwoofer whose continuous power handling sits near the figure you will use. VA3 Car Studio builds custom subwoofer boxes to the volume the driver's maker specifies.

Filters, inputs and a factory head unit

Audison lists full range or high-pass from 50 Hz at 12 dB/oct for the front and rear channels, with a band-pass option on the rear. The sub channel has a 50–500 Hz low-pass at 24 dB/oct, a 25 Hz subsonic filter and 0–12 dB of bass boost at 50 Hz. The page gives 5 kHz as the top of the high-pass range, but the technical sheet's feature list says 3200 Hz, so treat the top end as unconfirmed when planning a crossover near it.

Inputs are RCA pre-ins (0.2–5 V) and balanced speaker-level inputs (0.8–20 V). A built-in USS is there for factory sources that use speaker-load detection, and ART switches the amplifier on from the speaker signal (Speaker-In only), so a remote wire is optional when it is fed from speaker wires.

Audison says the filter section can be excluded when an Audison bit processor is used, such as the bit One HD Virtuoso. Our guide to DSP in car audio explains when a processor is worth adding, and VA3 Car Studio offers DSP tuning.

What owners and reviewers say about the Audison SR 5.600

When we checked in October 2026, we found no owner reviews of this exact model. Sound of Tristate's page and Frankie's Auto Electrics' page showed no reviews or ratings, and Audison's own page and technical sheet are promotional, so we have not counted them as opinions.

The nearest feedback concerns a different amplifier. On OnlineCarStereo's SR 6.600 page, a related six-channel model, one customer wrote in February 2026 that it arrived well packed, felt premium with a sturdy aluminium chassis and good terminals, ran cool, sounded clear and dynamic with good headroom, and was good value against bigger brands. That is a single review with no system described, so it says little about the SR 5.600.

Audison SR 5.600 vs Morel MPD 5.550, JL Audio JD700/5 and SR 6.600

The Morel MPD 5.550 has an MRP of ₹32,990, which is ₹27,000 below the Audison. Both are rated 75 W x 4 into 4 Ω. The Audison's sub channel is rated 330 W into 4 Ω and 550 W into 2 Ω, against 250 W and 400 W for the Morel, and its sub low-pass runs to 500 Hz against 200 Hz.

The JL Audio JD700/5 costs ₹69,990, which is ₹10,000 more. JL rates its main channels at 75 W x 4 into 4 Ω and 100 W x 4 into 2 Ω, and its sub channel at 180 W into 4 Ω and 300 W into 2 Ω, so the Audison's sub channel is rated higher at both loads. The JL measures 301 x 190 x 53 mm against the Audison's 294 x 155 x 47.5 mm.

The Audison SR 6.600 (₹69,990, 314 mm long) adds a sixth channel and is rated 85 W x 4 plus 110 W x 2 into 4 Ω. Audison describes its staggered power as suited to an active three-way front, which takes six channels. For four channels only, see our SR 4.300 and SR 4.500 posts; both carry correction notes, so rely on Audison's published ratings.

Who should buy it, and who shouldn't

Buy the SR 5.600 if you want front speakers, rear speakers and a subwoofer on one amplifier, run a factory head unit with only speaker-level outputs, and have a mounting spot about 294 mm long and 47.5 mm tall with open air at both ends.

Look elsewhere if you plan an active three-way front, which needs the six channels of the SR 6.600, or if your subwoofer needs more than 550 W, where a separate mono amplifier such as the Audison SR 1.500 is the usual alternative.

Installation notes for Indian cars

Audison puts the large heat sinks on the two short sides and uses no fans, so keep both ends open. The manual asks for 0 °C to 55 °C, at least 5 cm between the amplifier and any wall, good air circulation and an uncovered heat sink; covering it puts the amplifier into protection. It warns that the case can reach about 80 °C and rules out the engine compartment and wet, humid or dusty places.

Audison lists two internal 25 A fuses and 44 A at maximum musical power (14.4 V, 2 Ω). The manual asks for a battery-side fuse rated 30% above the built-in value, with the holder close to the battery's positive terminal; its text says 40 cm at most while one diagram says 20 cm, so keep it as short as the car allows. Speaker cable is limited to 10 AWG. The top LED is blue when on and red for faults such as overload or thermal protection. VA3 Car Studio in Ghaziabad offers professional installation, and we build speaker pods and door baffles.

Audison SR 5.600 - another view

The bottom line

The Audison SR 5.600 puts four speaker channels and a sub channel in one 47.5 mm-tall chassis, with a 3-channel mode and speaker-level inputs. With no owner reviews for this exact model, the decision rests on the published ratings, the mounting space and the speakers you plan to drive. Plan around the 75 W and 330 W figures, and leave room around the heat sinks.

Audison SR 5.600 FAQ

Can the Audison SR 5.600 run four speakers and a subwoofer?

Yes. The four speaker channels and the sub channel are separate outputs, so a subwoofer within the sub channel's 330 W (4 Ω) or 550 W (2 Ω) rating needs no second amplifier.

Does the Audison SR 5.600 work with a factory head unit?

Audison lists balanced speaker-level inputs (0.8–20 V RMS), a built-in USS and ART turn-on from the speaker signal. How a particular head unit behaves is a separate question, so confirm the details before you buy.

How does the Audison SR 5.600 compare with the Morel MPD 5.550?

Both are rated 75 W x 4 into 4 Ω. The Audison's sub channel is rated 330 W into 4 Ω and 550 W into 2 Ω, against 250 W and 400 W for the Morel, and its MRP is ₹59,990 against ₹32,990.
