Which Grand Vitaras should check fitment first?
Audio equipment varies by trim. In its April 2025 announcement of the updated Grand Vitara, Maruti Suzuki lists a Premium Sound System by Clarion among the car's premium features. Why does a DSP suit the Grand Vitara?
The strong hybrid can drive on electric power at low speeds, and a quiet cabin shows up what the factory speakers leave out. The MDSP 6/4A, a six-channel DSP with four 25 W RMS channels, fixes the three things you notice most:
Timing. Sound covers about 34 cm every millisecond. In a right-hand-drive car the driver sits closer to the right-hand speakers, so their sound arrives first and the image pulls right. Delaying them by a fraction of a millisecond centres it.
Tone. Input, output and global EQ, up to ±12 dB, smooth the cabin's peaks and dips.
Protection. Crossovers keep deep bass away from the 1-inch tweeters and the doors.
The MDSP reads the head unit's speaker-level signal, so the screen and steering controls stay. It's also listed as start/stop compatible, which matters in Smart Hybrid versions that switch the engine off at idle. Our MDSP 6/4A review has its full specifications.

What does the pre-tuned DSP file do?
The file is made with RTA (real-time analyser) measurements for the Grand Vitara's cabin and speaker positions. It sets the MDSP's EQ, crossovers and time alignment, so the system is meant to sound balanced from the first drive with no tuning session. You can still change it later in the Morel MDSP app on iOS or Android, over the amplifier's built-in Bluetooth. Our guide on how to set up a DSP explains the basics.
Fitting the kit
The speakers fit the factory mounts with DirectFit brackets and plug-in connectors, and the harness connects the DSP between the head unit and the speakers, with no cutting or splicing. It's a DIY job if you're comfortable removing door and dash trims. If not, any car audio installer can fit it.
Adding bass: PSL10AE or a Stealthbox?
The MDSP 6/4A has two RCA outputs (channels 5 and 6) for a subwoofer. The Morel PSL10AE is the simple route: a 10-inch active box with a built-in 350 W RMS amplifier, 165 mm tall. Would you rather keep the boot floor clear? JL Audio's Grand Vitara Stealthbox sits in a side panel, but it needs a separate amplifier, and the hybrid's 12 V system calls for careful power planning.
Is the Grand Vitara kit worth ₹45,000?
For ₹45,000 with free shipping, you get four Morel speakers, two dash tweeters, a DSP amplifier, the Grand Vitara harness and a ready-made tune. It suits owners who like the factory screen and want clearer, fuller sound. Skip it if you want loud, bass-heavy listening without a sub (25 W per channel is clean, not huge) or plan to change the head unit. Morel launched the MDSP range in March 2026, so long-term owner reports don't exist yet. Unused, uninstalled kits can be returned within 7 days under our return policy. Do I lose the factory screen or steering controls?
No. The MDSP 6/4A takes the speaker-level signal from the factory head unit, so the screen and controls stay as they are. The harness plugs in between the head unit and the speakers.
Is a subwoofer included?
No. The kit covers the four doors and the dash. For deeper bass, add the Morel PSL10AE 10-inch active subwoofer (350 W RMS) through the MDSP 6/4A's RCA outputs. It's sold separately.
