JL Audio ACS110LG-TW1 Review: A Slim Powered 10-Inch Sub for Small Boots
Updated: Oct 6
The JL Audio ACS110LG-TW1 puts a 10-inch TW1 thin-line subwoofer, a built-in amplifier rated at 400 W into 0.25 Ω and a sealed enclosure into one box only 127 mm (5 in) deep. At an Indian MRP of ₹99,990 it is the smaller and cheaper of the two PowerWedge+ ACS models in JL's 2026 Indian catalogue, ₹10,000 below the 12-inch version. It suits hatchback and compact-sedan owners who want fuller bass from a factory system without sourcing a separate amplifier and box. Details and the current offer are on our JL Audio ACS110LG-TW1 product page.

At a glance
Driver, amplifier and sealed enclosure come in one box, so there's no amplifier to mount, ventilate or match.
At 127 mm deep, 283 mm tall and 470 mm wide (9.12 kg), it gives up very little of a small boot when stood against the seatback.
The 400 W figure is the amplifier's output into its own 0.25-ohm driver, not a power-handling figure to compare with passive subs.
The few owner reviews praise clean bass and the quick-disconnect plug; one buyer felt it was underpowered for the price.

Figures come from the 2026 Indian catalogue, which prints the model as ACS 110 LG-TW1, and from our store listing. We found no official JL specification sheet for this enclosure, so figures such as frequency response, input options and fuse rating aren't confirmed; ask us before planning around them.
Why the amplifier is built in
A conventional sub upgrade means picking a driver, building a box for it, matching an amplifier to its impedance and finding somewhere cool to mount that amplifier. The ACS110LG-TW1 settles those choices at the factory. Its driver, the 10TW1-0.25, is a quarter-ohm version of JL's TW1 thin-line woofer: a far lower load than standalone amplifiers are generally built to drive, so it is meant to run from the amplifier built in beside it. That is also why the 400 W rating describes output into that low impedance rather than a power handling figure to set against passive subs.
Our listing says the amplifier uses what JL calls DCD technology, and the retailer whose reviews we cite describes it as Class D, the efficient type that makes a compact chassis practical. The box is sealed. Sealed enclosures generally give up some peak output for tighter, better-controlled bass that blends well with factory door speakers; if maximum loudness is the goal, a ported or larger system does more per rupee.
Hooking it up to a factory head unit
Many buyers of an all-in-one sub keep the factory touchscreen. Many units in Indian hatchbacks and sedans have no subwoofer output, so the signal has to come from the speaker wiring, through speaker-level inputs on the amplifier or through a line-output converter.
Neither the catalogue nor our listing says which inputs this amplifier accepts, so we won't guess. If you do need a converter, JL's two-channel LoC22 line-output converter (₹15,990 MRP) turns speaker-level signals into line-level outputs with auto turn-on. Factory units that change their EQ with volume can also make bass thin out as you turn up; a DSP is the proper fix, as our explainer on why car audio systems need a DSP sets out.
Fitting it into a small Indian boot
Standing upright against the rear seatback, the box occupies a strip of floor just 127 mm deep and 470 mm wide, leaving most of a typical hatchback boot usable. Measure between the wheel arches and under the parcel shelf first, since 283 mm of height can foul a low shelf.
Factory CNG cars need more thought because the cylinder fills much of the boot. The gap ahead of or beside it is sometimes enough for a box this thin, but only a tape measure will tell, and the quick-disconnect lets the whole unit come out for a family trip. Whatever the car, anchor it: a 9 kg box sliding over speed breakers scuffs trim, strains wiring and becomes a hazard under hard braking.
What owners say about the JL Audio ACS110LG-TW1
Feedback on this exact model is limited. When we checked in October 2026, the only owner reviews we could verify were on the retailer OnlineCarStereo; we found no independent lab tests or long-term press reviews.
The OnlineCarStereo reviews of the ACS110LG-TW1 are three dated customer reviews from 2020 to 2023. One owner who added it to a factory system in a Kia Optima found the bass clean enough to compare with larger subwoofers. Another, in a Chevrolet Silverado, was very pleased with the sound and liked how easily the quick-disconnect lets the box come out. The third felt it was underpowered for the price. No star average was visible.
A second page covers the ACP110LG-TW1, a related model rather than this one: the MicroSub+ version, which the retailer lists with the same quarter-ohm 10-inch TW1 and a 400 W Class D amplifier in a slot-ported box. Its three 2024 reviews praise strong bass for the space taken in a Toyota Camry, not needing a separate amplifier in a Ford Bronco, and smooth factory integration that one owner felt justified the premium. Read it as evidence about the driver and amplifier, not about this sealed box.

How it compares with the 12-inch ACS and a separates build
The step up is the JL Audio ACS112LG-TW1: the same 400 W at 0.25 Ω amplifier rating with a 12-inch TW1, in a box 168 mm deep, 343 mm tall and 533 mm wide that weighs 13.24 kg, for ₹1,09,990 MRP. You pay ₹10,000 and 41 mm of boot depth for the extra cone area. The 10 is the easier hatchback fit; in a compact SUV, measure for the 12.
Separates are the other route. The passive JL Audio 10TW1-4 is the 4-ohm, 300 W RMS member of the TW1 family (₹45,990 MRP), and a JD500/1 mono amplifier rated at 250 W into 4 Ω carries a ₹35,990 MRP. Those MRPs total ₹81,980 before a custom box, wiring and labour, so the gap narrows once those are counted. Separates do give you control of the box and an amplifier you can upgrade later.
The catalogue also lists vehicle-specific Stealthbox enclosures for SUVs such as the Creta and Thar; our Hyundai Creta Stealthbox post covers what we can confirm about them.
Who it suits, and who should skip it
It makes sense if you're keeping the factory head unit, the boot is small or shared with a CNG cylinder, and you want bass that fills out the music rather than rattling the number plate, with the option to lift the box out easily.
Look elsewhere if loudness is the priority: one owner already found it underpowered for the money, and a sealed 10-inch on a fixed 400 W amplifier has a ceiling. Skip it too if you enjoy tuning your own box and amplifier, or need published figures such as frequency response, since we found no official JL specification sheet.
Installation notes for Indian cars
A powered sub still needs a fused power cable from the battery through a firewall grommet, a short ground to bare chassis metal, a remote turn-on lead and a signal feed. JL's fuse and cable recommendations for this unit aren't in the information we hold, so ask us to size them for your car.
A closed boot in an Indian summer gets far hotter than the cabin, so keep the box and its amplifier panel clear of luggage and blankets. With the AC on at idle, voltage sags, and a tired battery or thin ground shows up as bass that fades in traffic. Set the subwoofer gain with the factory EQ flat, raising it until the sub blends with the doors. VA3 Car Studio in Ghaziabad installs powered subwoofers and can check the fit in your car before you buy.

The bottom line
The ACS110LG-TW1 solves one problem well: real bass from a factory system in a car with little boot to spare. Its 127 mm depth, matched amplifier and quick-disconnect make it easy to live with, and the few owner reviews are mostly warm. It isn't a loudness machine, and the price buys convenience as much as hardware; if you'd rather choose your own box and amplifier, a passive TW1 build gives you more control.
JL Audio ACS110LG-TW1 FAQ
Does the JL Audio ACS110LG-TW1 need a separate amplifier?
No. The amplifier is built into the enclosure and rated at 400 W into the 10-inch driver's 0.25 Ω load. You still need a fused power cable, a ground, a remote turn-on lead and a signal connection.
Can I add it to my car's factory touchscreen?
Owners report adding it to factory systems, but our listing doesn't specify which inputs the amplifier accepts. Tell us your car and head unit and we'll confirm whether you also need a line-output converter.
How much boot space does the ACS110LG-TW1 take?
The box is 127 mm deep, 283 mm tall and 470 mm wide. Standing against the rear seatback, it takes a strip of floor about 13 cm deep, but measure the width and the height under the parcel shelf first.
