Deaf Bonce Atom 1600.1 PRO Review: 1,430 W at 12 V and a Two-Sub Sweet Spot
Updated: Oct 6
The Deaf Bonce Atom 1600.1 PRO is a mono Class D amplifier in the Apocalypse Atom PRO series, rated at 1,600 W RMS into 1 Ω at 14.4 V, 1,010 W into 2 Ω and 550 W into 4 Ω. Its standout figure is 1,430 W at 12 V, more than the 1300.1 PRO manages at 14.4 V. The Indian MRP is ₹32,990, the second step in the Atom PRO range we sell. It suits a pair of 800 W subwoofers, or one sub of about 1,500 W, in a car whose charging system won't always hold 14.4 V. See it on our Deaf Bonce Atom 1600.1 PRO product page.

Atom 1600.1 PRO in brief
Loses only 170 W between 14.4 V and 12 V, a smaller share than the 1300.1 PRO.
Two 800 W dual 4 Ω subs wired to 1 Ω together get 800 W each, exactly their rating.
RCA and high-level inputs and a remote with a voltage display, per the shared Atom PRO manual.
No owner reviews were readable, and we found no product page for it on Deaf Bonce's English site.

Power, filter, input, voltage and size figures come from Deaf Bonce's Atom PRO owner's manual, which covers the 1300.1, 1600.1 and 2000.1 PRO; rows labelled listing come from our store listing. We found no product page for the 1600.1 PRO on Deaf Bonce's English website when we checked.
The 12 V figure is the headline
Amplifier ratings usually assume 14.4 V, which a healthy alternator holds with the engine running. Real cars don't always manage it: voltage sags when you idle with the AC, headlamps and blower on, and sits lower still on a tired battery after short trips. Deaf Bonce's 12 V rating shows what happens then. The 1600.1 PRO keeps 1,430 W, a loss of 170 W or about 11 percent, while the 1300.1 PRO loses 280 W and ends at 1,020 W.
So at 12 V the 1600.1 PRO still out-produces the 1300.1 PRO at 14.4 V by 130 W. If the charging system will stay as it is for now, that matters more than the 300 W gap in headline ratings.
Two subwoofers at 1 Ω: the natural use
Two dual 4 Ω subs suit this amplifier neatly. Wire each sub's coils in parallel for 2 Ω, then the two subs in parallel for 1 Ω, and each receives half of 1,600 W, or 800 W. That is exactly the RMS rating of our Machete MF-10S, MF-12S and MF-15S in D4 form, so you can choose by boot space and box size rather than power.
For a single sub, the Apocalypse SA272 (1,500 W RMS) in its dual 2 Ω version reaches 1 Ω in parallel and gets 1,600 W, so keep the gain in check; its dual 1 Ω version wired in series sees 2 Ω and 1,010 W. A Machete MF-15R D4 (1,200 W) wired to 2 Ω also gets 1,010 W, with headroom to spare.
Charging system, cable and fuse
By the sizing rule in Deaf Bonce's Atom Plus manual, power divided by 13 V, 1,600 W calls for about 123 A at full output, and amplifier losses add to that. The Atom PRO manual's own advice is general: make sure the alternator's rated current and the battery's capacity are enough. Check your alternator's rating before you buy, remembering that the amplifier's demand comes on top of the car's own load.
The power terminal is 4 AWG, the same as on the 1300.1 PRO, so keep the run short and fit the fuse holder within 40 cm of the battery's positive terminal, as Deaf Bonce asks. No fuse rating is printed, so size the fuse for the cable. Deaf Bonce's voltage figures also disagree: the manual's specification table and our listing say 9–16 V, but the manual's installation and troubleshooting text says 9–15 V, so keep the system at or below 15 V. The big three upgrade (alternator to battery, battery negative to body, engine to body) and a healthy battery are the first improvements, and the remote's voltage display tells you whether they're working.
What owners and reviewers say about the Deaf Bonce Atom 1600.1 PRO
When we checked in October 2026, we found no owner reviews or independent tests of the 1600.1 PRO that we could read. Nor did we find a product page for it on Deaf Bonce's English website, only the shared owner's manual.
Our listing describes this as the 2024 version with redesigned circuitry, a four-layer circuit board separating the power and signal sections, and fan cooling. We couldn't confirm those details on Deaf Bonce's site, so treat them as unverified. Large retailers and car-audio forums weren't accessible to us, so there's no consensus to report. If you own one, we'd welcome your experience.
Atom 1600.1 PRO vs 1300.1 PRO, MLA-1500 and 2000.1 PRO
Against the Atom 1300.1 PRO (₹27,990), the 1600.1 PRO adds 300 W at 1 Ω, 230 W at 2 Ω and 410 W at 12 V for ₹5,000 more, in a 230 x 140 x 54 mm chassis rather than 180 x 140 x 54 mm.
The Machete MLA-1500 (₹29,990) costs ₹3,000 less and makes 1,480 W at 1 Ω and 920 W at 2 Ω, but it measures 375 x 216 x 50 mm and weighs 4.18 kg packed. The Atom 2000.1 PRO (₹39,990) adds another 400 W at 1 Ω and keeps 1,810 W at 12 V.
Who should buy it, and who shouldn't
Buy the 1600.1 PRO if you want two 800 W subs at their full rating, or one 1,200–1,500 W sub, and your charging system won't always hold 14.4 V. The high-level inputs listed in its manual also suit cars that keep the factory head unit.
Look elsewhere if you'll rebuild the electrics anyway and want more from the same 4 AWG feed, where the 2000.1 PRO fits, or if one 800 W sub is the whole plan, where the AAP-800.1D costs less.
Installation notes for Indian cars
Our listing mentions a cooling fan alongside the heatsinks. Whatever the cooling, leave space around the amplifier so air can move, keep it out of enclosed corners of a hot boot, and clear dust from it periodically. A two-sub box is heavy, so bolt it and the amplifier down properly for rough roads and speed breakers.
At these levels, trim panels and number plates start to rattle; our guide to applying sound damping helps. Remember too that India's noise rules restrict amplified sound at night and near hospitals and schools, so keep full output for places where it disturbs no one. VA3 Car Studio in Ghaziabad can plan the box, wiring and tuning.
Price and where to buy
The Deaf Bonce Atom 1600.1 PRO has an MRP of ₹32,990 on our listing. We often sell below MRP, so see today's price on the Atom 1600.1 PRO product page, and ask us to match it with subwoofers. Every unit we sell is genuine Deaf Bonce stock.

The bottom line
The 1600.1 PRO holds up better on imperfect electrics than the 1300.1 PRO: 1,430 W at 12 V, a natural partner for two 800 W subs at 1 Ω, and factory-friendly inputs listed in its manual. Its weak points are on paper rather than in the specifications: no English product page that we could find, unconfirmed revision details and, so far, no owner reviews.
Deaf Bonce Atom 1600.1 PRO FAQ
Can the Deaf Bonce Atom 1600.1 PRO run two subwoofers?
Yes. Two dual 4-ohm subs, each wired to 2 ohms and then paralleled, present 1 ohm, where the amplifier makes 1,600 W, or 800 W per sub. That matches 800 W subs such as the Machete MF-12S in its D4 version.
How much power does the 1600.1 PRO make on 12 V?
Deaf Bonce rates it at 1,430 W into 1 ohm at 12 V, against 1,600 W at 14.4 V. That is a smaller drop than the 1300.1 PRO's, which falls from 1,300 W to 1,020 W.
What power cable does the 1600.1 PRO need?
Its power terminal takes 4 AWG cable. Keep the run short, fit the fuse holder within 40 cm of the battery's positive terminal as the manual instructs, and size the fuse to protect the cable, since Deaf Bonce prints no fuse rating.
