DS18 PRO-X6.4BMPK Review: What the Package Includes and How It Is Rated
The DS18 PRO-X6.4BMPK is a front-stage package of two PRO-X6.4BM 6.5-inch mid-range bullet loudspeakers and two PRO-TWX1/BK super bullet tweeters, listed at ₹17,990 MRP. DS18 rates each mid-range at 250 W RMS with a separate 500 W maximum, and labels each tweeter 60 W AES, 120 W program and 240 W peak, so every power figure has to be read with its own label. It suits a buyer who wants a matched mid-range and tweeter set from one brand and plans to power it from an amplifier. You can see it on our DS18 PRO-X6.4BMPK product page.

Quick summary
The package is a pair of PRO-X6.4BM mid-ranges and a pair of PRO-TWX1/BK tweeters, and all four drivers are 4 ohm.
Mid-range: 250 W RMS and a separate 500 W maximum. Tweeter: 60 W AES, 120 W program and 240 W peak, which are not RMS labels.
DS18's package documents list the mid-range at 96 dB, 100 Hz to 12 kHz and a 160 Hz high-pass; its single-piece page lists 95 dB, 100 Hz to 10 kHz and 140 Hz.
The only reviews we could read are on DS18's own shop, 42 of them for this package. We found no independent reviews.

Figures come from our listing, checked against DS18's package page and package manual (manufacturer material, so promotional). DS18 writes the tweeter as PRO-TW1X/BK once on its page; we use the PRO-TWX1/BK name from our listing and its manual. Where the package figures differ from the single-piece PRO-X6.4BM page, the table follows the package documents.
Reading the power labels: RMS, AES, program and peak
The mid-range and tweeter ratings use different labels, so they cannot be compared number to number. For the mid-range DS18 gives 250 W RMS and a separate 500 W maximum. For the tweeter it gives 60 W AES, 120 W program and 240 W peak, and DS18's PRO-TWX1 manual never uses the word RMS, but DS18's separate tweeter-pair page puts 120W RMS in its title while its spec table calls the same figure program power. We have not converted any figure into RMS, and the mid-range and tweeter numbers should not be added together.
DS18's help page describes RMS as the constant power supplied to the speaker and advises choosing an amplifier that can output the correct RMS rating for your speakers. For the mid-ranges, our advice, not DS18's, is amplifier channels rated in RMS at 4 ohms whose output does not exceed 250 W. For the tweeters, the lowest of DS18's three labels is 60 W AES, and that is the number we would keep in mind when setting their gain.
Crossovers and level balance
Our listing and DS18's page describe the tweeters as having a built-in crossover, and the package manual lists a 3.3 uF filter as included. Neither DS18's package page nor its manual gives a corner frequency or slope for it, and DS18 separately recommends a 2 kHz high-pass for the tweeter. The DS18 pages we read give no low-pass for the mid-range.
That makes the package a better match for an amplifier or DSP with adjustable filters than for a head unit alone. Set the mid-range high-pass first, then decide where the mid-ranges hand over to the tweeters during tuning. VA3 Car Studio does DSP tuning, and our article on why a DSP matters in a car system explains the idea. DS18 quotes 103 dB for the tweeters and 96 dB for the mid-range, a 7 dB gap, so expect to trim the tweeter level.
What owners and reviewers say about the DS18 PRO-X6.4BMPK
When we checked in October 2026, the only buyer feedback we could read was on DS18's own shop. Its package page shows 42 reviews. The rating breakdown has no average or labels in the text we read: one bar holds 39 reviews (93%) and three others hold one each. We read the first as the top rating, but the page does not say so.
Five reviews were visible, most undated. Buyers are positive about the sound, and some also comment on how loud it is, which is a subjective impression and not a claim we make. One found installation easy, with the tweeters the harder part. One bought it for a motorcycle build, so not every comment applies to a car door. None of the five reports a fault. It is the brand's own shop, and how it moderates reviews is not stated.
Two related pages cover the parts sold alone, not this package: the PRO-X6.4BM page (171 reviews, with short comments that praise the sound) and the PRO-TWX1/BK tweeter pair page (24 reviews, the few we could read being short approvals). We found no forum threads or independent retailer reviews we could read, and large marketplaces such as Amazon block automated reading. If you own the package, tell us how it behaves in your car.
DS18 PRO-X6.4BMPK compared with buying the parts separately
At MRP the package costs ₹5,010 more than two PRO-X6.4BM mid-ranges (₹12,980), and the difference is the pair of PRO-TWX1/BK tweeters. Our PRO-X6.4BM review covers the mid-range on its own, with DS18's single-piece figures.
If you prefer another tweeter, the DS18 GTX1 (₹5,990 MRP, sold as a single piece) is a 3-inch design with a titanium diaphragm, 98 dB sensitivity and a recommended 3 kHz high-pass, and DS18's GTX1 page and manual do not state that a crossover is supplied. For a larger mid-range, the DS18 PRO-X8.4BM (₹8,990 MRP) is an 8-inch driver rated at 275 W RMS and 550 W maximum, and it needs a 182 mm cut-out against 145 mm here.
Who should buy it, and who shouldn't
Buy it if you want a mid-range and tweeter pair from one brand in a single purchase, you have an amplifier or DSP with adjustable filters, and you can place the tweeters in pods, baffles or pillars.
Look elsewhere if you want a drop-in coaxial replacement, because these are four separate drivers and our listing does not list grilles, mounting hardware or wiring. Skip it too if the head unit is your only power source, if the door has less than 65.5 mm of clear depth, or if you already own tweeters you like.
Installation notes for Indian cars
Plan the whole front stage before ordering. The mid-ranges need a 145 mm cut-out and 65.5 mm of depth; the tweeters need a 70 mm cut-out, 40 mm of depth and room for a 96 mm body. VA3 Car Studio builds speaker pods and door baffles and offers professional installation in Ghaziabad.
Dashboards and A-pillars in a closed car can get very hot in an Indian summer, so test positions with temporary mounting before cutting or gluing. Door cavities see water in the monsoon, so keep the moisture barrier and drain holes intact and damp the inner panel as our sound damping guide describes.
Price and where to buy
The DS18 PRO-X6.4BMPK carries an India MRP of ₹17,990 for the package of two mid-ranges and two tweeters. VA3 Car Studio often sells below MRP, so check the current offer on the PRO-X6.4BMPK product page. Warranty terms are DS18's own, and its warranty page does not say how they apply to purchases outside the US, so confirm the India terms with us before you buy.

The bottom line
The PRO-X6.4BMPK suits a front stage built around an amplifier or DSP: four 4-ohm drivers, a 250 W RMS mid-range and a tweeter whose power is given as AES, program and peak. Read each label for what it is, treat the package-versus-single-piece differences as a reason to tune carefully, and settle the tweeter positions before you buy.
DS18 PRO-X6.4BMPK FAQ
What is included in the DS18 PRO-X6.4BMPK package?
Per our listing and DS18, two PRO-X6.4BM 6.5-inch mid-range loudspeakers and two PRO-TWX1/BK super bullet tweeters, all 4 ohm, plus a 3.3 uF filter listed in DS18's package manual. Our listing does not list grilles, mounting hardware or wiring, so ask us before assuming any.
How much power does the DS18 PRO-X6.4BMPK handle?
It depends on the driver. DS18 rates each mid-range at 250 W RMS with a separate 500 W maximum, and each tweeter at 60 W AES, 120 W program and 240 W peak. DS18's package page and manual do not label the tweeter figures as RMS, and the two sets should not be added together.
Do the PRO-X6.4BMPK tweeters need a separate crossover?
Our listing and DS18's page describe a built-in crossover, but DS18's package page and manual give no corner frequency or slope, so we cannot say how much protection it gives. DS18 recommends a 2 kHz high-pass for the tweeter, so set one in your amplifier or DSP if it has the option.
Where do the PRO-X6.4BMPK tweeters mount?
DS18 lists a 70 mm cut-out, 40 mm of mounting depth and a 96 mm overall diameter. Our listing does not list mounting hardware, so plan a pod, baffle or pillar position first; VA3 Car Studio builds speaker pods and baffles.
