Onkyo V-T75.2A Review: 2-Channel Class AB Amplifier With a 150 W Bridged Rating

6 min read

The Onkyo V-T75.2A is a 2-channel Class AB amplifier rated at 75 W x 2 RMS at 4 Ω, 100 W x 2 at 2 Ω and 150 W x 1 bridged at 4 Ω, with a separate 900 W maximum-power figure. At an Indian MRP of ₹10,990 it is the lowest-priced of the seven Onkyo X-A and V-T power amplifiers we list, and at 277 mm and about 2.05 kg the shortest and lightest. It suits a front pair rated near 75 W RMS, or a single 4 Ω driver on the bridged output. You can see it on our Onkyo V-T75.2A product page.

Onkyo V-T75.2A 2-channel Class AB car amplifier

Quick summary

  • 75 W x 2 at 4 Ω, 100 W x 2 at 2 Ω and 150 W x 1 bridged at 4 Ω, all RMS per Onkyo. The 900 W figure is a maximum, not RMS.

  • Distortion of 0.1% or less and a single 20 A fuse are listed. Of the six V-T amplifiers we list, only this one and the V-T750.5A give a distortion figure.

  • The MRP matches the Zapco ST-2B at ₹10,990, which states its ratings at 14.4 V and lists a crossover and speaker-level inputs.

  • No owner reviews turned up in October 2026, and the sheet lists no filters or input connectors.

The table's numbers come straight from Onkyo's V-T75.2A page, and our store listing is in agreement. Onkyo prints the bridged 4 Ω rating but does not use the word bridgeable or describe the wiring.

Stereo, 2 Ω or bridged: which rating applies

With two channels there are three ways to use this amplifier. Into a pair of 4 Ω speakers, each channel is rated at 75 W. Into 2 Ω loads, one per channel, the rating rises to 100 W. Bridged into a single 4 Ω load, the amplifier is rated at 150 W on one output. Onkyo prints all three as RMS.

Bridging does not create extra power overall, because 2 x 75 W and 1 x 150 W both come to 150 W at 4 Ω. What it changes is where that power goes, which suits a single 4 Ω driver that wants more than 75 W. Onkyo gives no wiring for the bridged mode, so confirm the terminal markings on the unit before wiring a subwoofer that way.

A front pair, a subwoofer, or both

Used alone, the V-T75.2A can drive a stereo pair or one bridged output, not both at once. A front pair plus a subwoofer needs a second amplifier. The Onkyo V-T1000.1D (₹19,990 MRP) is a mono model rated at 400 W at 4 Ω, and with this amplifier the two come to ₹30,980 at MRP. The Onkyo V-T750.5A (₹20,990) puts four speaker channels and a 350 W channel at 4 Ω in one box. Our guide to when a car needs an amplifier helps with that choice.

What owners and reviewers say about the Onkyo V-T75.2A

We did not find a single owner review, forum thread or independent test of the Onkyo V-T75.2A when we searched in October 2026. Four sites could not be read at all, because Amazon India, Flipkart, YouTube and Reddit block automated access. That leaves Onkyo's specification table and our own listing, neither of which carries customer reviews. Onkyo's download page has no file for this amplifier either. How it sounds, how much heat it gives off and how its bridged output behaves are therefore unverified. If you own one, tell us how it has gone.

V-T75.2A against the Zapco ST-2B and Alpine BBX-T600

The Zapco ST-2B is a 2-channel Class AB amplifier at the same ₹10,990 MRP. Zapco lists 2 x 65 W at 4 Ω, 2 x 90 W at 2 Ω and 1 x 180 W bridged at 4 Ω, and its catalogue gives the test as 14.4 V. Taken at face value, the Onkyo lists 10 W more per channel at 4 Ω, 10 W more at 2 Ω and 30 W less bridged, yet without a stated voltage there is nothing to rank against Zapco's 14.4 V figures. Zapco also lists RCA and speaker-level inputs, a variable crossover and a variable bass boost, and its overall length is 230 mm against the Onkyo's 277 mm.

The Alpine BBX-T600 is a 2/1-channel Class A/B amplifier at ₹12,499, which is ₹1,509 more. Alpine's manual gives 14.4 V and 1% THD+N or less as the test conditions for 50 W x 2 at 4 Ω, 70 W x 2 at 2 Ω and 130 W x 1 bridged at 4 Ω. It lists a low-pass crossover of 50 to 250 Hz, a high-pass of 80 Hz to 1.2 kHz and a bass EQ. The Onkyo lists 25 W more per channel at 4 Ω, 30 W more at 2 Ω and 20 W more bridged, again on different test terms.

Who should buy it, and who shouldn't

Buy the V-T75.2A if you have a front pair rated near 75 W RMS at 4 Ω, or want one bridged 150 W output, and you want the smallest and lowest-priced of the Onkyo X-A and V-T amplifiers we list.

Look elsewhere if you want four speaker channels in one box (the V-T60.4A is ₹2,000 higher at MRP), you need a crossover and speaker-level inputs on the amplifier (the ST-2B lists them), or you need a subwoofer amplifier rated in the hundreds of watts (the V-T1000.1D).

Installation notes for Indian cars

At 277 x 217 x 55 mm and about 2.05 kg, this is the shortest and lightest of the seven Onkyo X-A and V-T amplifiers we list, which gives more freedom over where it can go than a 355 mm amplifier. Measure the intended spot anyway, leave a gap around the chassis for heat and keep it off carpet.

Onkyo lists a single 20 A fuse here, against 20 A x 2 on the V-T80.4A and V-T60.4A. Supply range, current draw and cable gauge go unpublished, and as we found no manual on its site, the main fuse and power cable are worked out at installation. VA3 Car Studio in Ghaziabad offers professional installation, and builds custom subwoofer boxes if the bridged output is going to a subwoofer.

Price and where to buy

The Onkyo V-T75.2A has an MRP of ₹10,990. VA3 Car Studio often sells below MRP, so check the current price on the V-T75.2A listing. Warranty terms are set by Onkyo; confirm them with us before ordering.

The bottom line

The V-T75.2A is the smallest, lightest and lowest-priced of the seven Onkyo X-A and V-T amplifiers we list, and one of only two V-T pages that gives a distortion figure. It drives a front pair or one bridged output, so rear speakers or a subwoofer alongside a front pair need another amplifier. As with the rest of the range there are no reviews, so confirm the connectors before you buy.

Onkyo V-T75.2A FAQ

Can the Onkyo V-T75.2A be bridged for a subwoofer?

Onkyo prints a bridged rating of 150 W x 1 at 4 Ω, so a single 4 Ω load is within the published ratings. The page does not describe the wiring and lists nothing for a bridged load below 4 Ω, so check the terminal markings first.

What fuse does the V-T75.2A use?

Onkyo and our listing give a fuse size of 20 A x 1, a single 20 A fuse, against 20 A x 2 on the V-T80.4A and V-T60.4A. No supply range, current draw or cable gauge is published.

Can one V-T75.2A drive a front pair and a subwoofer?

Not at the same time. The two channels either drive a stereo pair at 75 W each into 4 Ω or are bridged into one 150 W output. A subwoofer alongside a front pair needs a second amplifier.
