Recoil P610 Review: 6-In 10-Out DSP Amplifier Listed at 4 x 25 W RMS

6 min read

The Recoil P610 is a 6-in, 10-out DSP amplifier with Bluetooth, listed at 4 x 25 W RMS into 4 Ω. Its Indian MRP is ₹23,000, the second-lowest of the four Recoil DSP amplifiers we list. It suits a car that keeps its factory radio, wants four built-in amplifier channels and needs ten RCA outputs for external amplifiers. You can see it on our Recoil P610 product page.

Recoil P610 6-in 10-out DSP amplifier with Bluetooth

Key takeaways

  • Our listing rates the built-in amplifier at RMS 4 x 25 W into 4 Ω, with no rating for lower impedances.

  • Inputs are 6 RCA, 6 high-level and 1 optical SPDIF; outputs are 10 RCA.

  • Bluetooth audio streaming is listed, with tuning by PC software and app.

  • The DRC1 wired remote is a separate ₹10,000 MRP listing, and Recoil's DRC1 page names the P610 as compatible.

These figures come from our store listing. When we checked in October 2026 we found no Recoil product page dedicated to the P610, though Recoil's DRC1 remote page names it as compatible. Dimensions, DSP resolution, equaliser bands and crossover slopes are not in our listing, so we do not state them.

Power: what 4 x 25 W RMS can drive

RMS is the continuous rating. At 25 W per channel into 4 Ω the P610 can drive efficient door speakers at everyday levels, but it is a modest figure for demanding speakers played loudly, where the RCA outputs can feed a larger external amplifier.

The listing rates the amplifier at 4 Ω only, so load each channel with one 4 Ω speaker and do not wire anything lower without a published rating. It does not state the supply voltage behind the 25 W figure either. In stop-go traffic with the AC running, the voltage at the amplifier can sag and the output may fall with it, so leave some margin.

Connecting it: inputs, outputs and Bluetooth

Six RCA inputs suit a head unit or media player with RCA pre-outs. The six high-level inputs take speaker-level signals, the usual route when a factory radio has no pre-outs, and the optical SPDIF input takes a digital feed from a source with an optical output. The listing mentions no vehicle-specific harness, so ask us what your car needs before ordering.

In principle, ten RCA outputs cover a three-way front stage (six channels), a rear pair and a subwoofer pair, with external amplifiers behind them. The listing does not say how freely the outputs can be assigned, or which processor channels feed the four built-in amplifier channels, so confirm your layout first.

Bluetooth audio streaming is built in. The listing gives no Bluetooth version or codec.

Tuning software and the DRC1 remote

Tuning is by PC software and app, and the listing names neither or the operating systems they support. The Recoil pages we found that describe equaliser, crossover and delay features name the P610-PRO, not the P610, so we have not credited those features to this model. Our guide to setting up a DSP in your car walks through crossovers, equalisation and time alignment, and The Need for DSP in Car Audio Systems explains why a cabin needs them.

The Recoil DRC1 remote controller is a wired remote with a TFT colour screen, at ₹10,000 MRP. It sets master volume and subwoofer level, selects the source (CD, Bluetooth, optical, U disk or auxiliary), recalls six DSP presets and changes the play mode. A 3 m cable is included, and Recoil Audio USA lists the remote for the P610-PRO as well.

Our listing does not say whether the P610 works without the DRC1, so ask us if the remote matters to your plan.

What owners and reviewers say about the Recoil P610

When we checked in October 2026, we could not find an independent review, owner thread or retailer review page for the P610. Recoil's own pages for the DRC1 remote and the P610-PRO show no customer reviews, and some review sites and forums could not be read at all, so a review may exist that we did not see.

We make no claims about noise floor, Bluetooth quality or heat, because we found nothing that documents them. If you own a P610, tell us how the software and the remote worked in your car.

Recoil P610 vs P610-PRO, R46 and S810

Our listings for the Recoil P610-PRO and the P610 differ in power and in detail. Not listed means our P610 listing does not mention it, not that the unit lacks it.

So the P610-PRO lists 15 W more RMS per channel at a ₹9,000 higher MRP, plus a DSP resolution, a USB port and physical controls that our P610 listing does not mention. Both use the DRC1. The Recoil R46 (₹17,800 MRP) lists the same 25 W RMS per channel into 4 Ω with 4 RCA and 4 high-level inputs and 6 RCA outputs, and the Recoil S810 (₹40,000 MRP) lists 8 x 25 W RMS plus 2 x 100 W RMS at 4 Ω.

Who should buy it, and who shouldn't

Choose the P610 if you want a processor and a four-channel amplifier in one box, your source is a factory radio or a head unit with RCA outputs, and 25 W RMS per channel into 4 Ω suits your speakers.

Look elsewhere if you want a higher RMS rating, as the P610-PRO lists, or a 2 Ω rating, as the R46 lists. Also look elsewhere if you want each figure checked against a dedicated Recoil page, since we found none for this model.

Installation notes for Indian cars

Give the P610 air around it. Behind a glovebox or under a seat are common spots if the unit fits and is not wrapped in foam or carpet, since summer cabin heat and dust are hard on electronics. Fix it down firmly for rough roads. The listing gives no dimensions, so check the space before committing to a tight spot.

Our listing gives neither a power cable size nor a fuse value, so confirm both with Recoil before wiring, and fit the fuse close to the battery. VA3 Car Studio in Ghaziabad offers professional installation and DSP tuning.

Price and where to buy

The Recoil P610 has an Indian MRP of ₹23,000. VA3 Car Studio often sells below MRP, so check the current offer on the P610 product page. The DRC1 remote is a separate listing at ₹10,000 MRP. Our listing describes the P610 as a genuine Recoil DSP amplifier. Recoil's published warranty terms give one year from the original purchase and describe a US return process, so confirm India terms with us.

Recoil P610 - another view

The bottom line

The P610 is a plainly specified processor-amplifier: four 25 W RMS channels at 4 Ω, 6 RCA and 6 high-level inputs, an optical input, ten RCA outputs and Bluetooth. Our listing is the only source for its figures and we found no independent reviews, so ask us about the channel plan and the remote before ordering. For a higher RMS rating, read the P610-PRO next.

Recoil P610 FAQ

What is the difference between the Recoil P610 and the P610-PRO?

Our listings give the P610 as 4 x 25 W RMS at 4 Ω for ₹23,000 MRP, and the P610-PRO as 4 x 40 W RMS at 4 Ω with a 32-bit/48 kHz DSP for ₹32,000 MRP. Both list 10 RCA outputs and Bluetooth streaming.

Can the Recoil P610 take a signal from a factory radio?

It lists 6 high-level inputs, which accept speaker-level signals, so a radio without RCA pre-outs can feed it. The listing mentions no vehicle harness, so ask us what your car needs.

Does the P610 need the DRC1 remote?

Our listing does not say it does. The DRC1 is a separate wired remote at ₹10,000 MRP, and Recoil's DRC1 page names the P610 as compatible. Ask us if you are unsure.

Can the Recoil P610 run speakers without a separate amplifier?

It has a built-in four-channel amplifier listed at RMS 4 x 25 W at 4 Ω, so it can drive four 4 Ω speakers directly. Add external amplifiers for more power or to use its other RCA outputs.
