Recoil S810 Review: 8-In 10-Out DSP Amplifier, 8 x 25 W plus 2 x 100 W RMS

6 min read

The Recoil S810 is an 8-in, 10-out DSP amplifier rated 8 x 25 W RMS plus 2 x 100 W RMS into 4 Ω, with a 24-bit/48 kHz processor. Its Indian MRP is ₹40,000, the highest of the four Recoil DSP amplifiers we list. It suits a car where you want most of an active system amplified from one box and are ready to plan ten channels. You can see it on our Recoil S810 product page.

Recoil S810 8-in 10-out DSP amplifier

Key takeaways

  • Ten amplified channels are listed: 8 x 25 W RMS plus 2 x 100 W RMS into 4 Ω, with ten speaker terminals.

  • A bridged 1 x 300 W figure is printed with no RMS or peak label, so we do not use it for sizing.

  • Inputs are 8 high-level, 2 auxiliary, optical and coaxial; Bluetooth streaming and USB MP3 playback are listed.

  • The DRC2 remote connects by RJ45 and is ₹9,000 MRP, sold separately.

The figures come from our store listing and Recoil's S810 page, which agree and are promotional copy. Neither gives the amplifier class, supply voltage, current draw, weight or Bluetooth version, and the THD figure has no stated test conditions.

Ten channels: planning the layout

The rated output adds up to 400 W RMS across ten channels, eight at 25 W and two at 100 W, all into 4 Ω. With ten speaker terminals, a three-way front stage (six channels), a rear pair and one more pair for subwoofers would use every channel, in principle.

The listing does not say which two outputs are the 100 W pair, or how freely the ten can be assigned. Confirm that with Recoil before you buy speakers. The bridged 1 x 300 W figure sits in the same line as the RMS ratings with no label of its own, so we neither call it RMS nor size anything from it.

No 2 Ω rating is given, so give each channel a single 4 Ω speaker.

Inputs, outputs and source options

Eight high-level inputs can tap several speaker pairs of a factory system. Two auxiliary inputs, optical SPDIF and coaxial inputs are listed too, but the listing gives no connector type for the auxiliary inputs and names no RCA line inputs. If your source offers only RCA pre-outs, ask us how it would connect.

The 10 RCA outputs can feed external amplifiers alongside the ten speaker terminals. Bluetooth streaming and USB MP3 playback are listed, with no Bluetooth version given. Recoil lists OEM harness compatibility, with the harness sold separately, but names no cars, so ask us about yours.

Tuning and the DRC2 remote

Tuning is by Windows PC software or a mobile app, neither named. Gain, phase and time delay are listed for each channel, with six customisable DSP presets and multi-slope crossovers. The pages we read do not describe an equaliser or give slope values, so we quote none. Our guide to setting up a DSP in your car covers crossovers, equalisation and time alignment, and VA3 Car Studio can do the DSP tuning.

The Recoil DRC2 digital remote controller is an optional remote that connects through the S810's RJ45 port, at ₹9,000 MRP. Our listing also names the R46 as compatible, and Recoil's R46 page lists the DRC2 as its optional remote. Recoil's own DRC2 page has no description, so we cannot describe its controls.

What owners and reviewers say about the Recoil S810

When we checked in October 2026, we found no independent review, owner thread or retailer review page for the S810. Recoil's own S810 and DRC2 pages show no customer reviews. Some review sites and forums could not be read, so a review may exist that we missed.

That leaves Recoil's promotional page. We make no claims about noise, heat or Bluetooth sound, because nothing we found documents them. If you own an S810, tell us how the software and your channel plan worked in your car.

Recoil S810 vs P610-PRO, P610 and R46

The S810 is the only one of the four Recoil DSP amplifiers we list with ten amplified channels. The Recoil R46 (₹17,800 MRP), Recoil P610 (₹23,000 MRP) and Recoil P610-PRO (₹32,000 MRP) each list four, with RCA outputs for external amplifiers.

Power per channel differs. The P610-PRO lists 4 x 40 W RMS at 4 Ω, while the S810 lists 25 W on eight channels and 100 W on two. The P610-PRO states a 32-bit/48 kHz DSP against the S810's 24-bit/48 kHz. The P610 and P610-PRO list 6 RCA inputs, which the S810 listing does not.

Who should buy it, and who shouldn't

Choose the S810 if you want to drive a front three-way stage, rears and subwoofers from one amplifier, your source offers speaker-level outputs, and you are happy to settle the channel map before installing.

Look elsewhere if your source has only RCA pre-outs and you cannot confirm how it connects, if you need a 2 Ω rating, or if you want the amplifier class and supply voltage confirmed first. If space is tight, the R46 and P610-PRO list smaller dimensions.

Installation notes for Indian cars

The S810 measures 294 x 191 x 47.5 mm, a long, low unit. Recoil's page also calls the chassis 1.5 in (about 38 mm), which does not match 47.5 mm, so allow for the larger figure. Leave air around it, as an amplifier working hard in an Indian summer gives off heat, and fix it down firmly for rough roads.

The listing says Fuse: 15 A without saying whether this is the unit's own fuse or the supply-line value, so do not size your wiring from it. None of our sources gives a cable size or supply fuse, so confirm both with Recoil before wiring, bearing in mind the 400 W RMS combined rating. VA3 Car Studio in Ghaziabad offers professional installation and DSP tuning.

Price and where to buy

The Recoil S810 has an Indian MRP of ₹40,000. We often sell below MRP, so check the current offer on the S810 product page. The DRC2 remote is a separate listing at ₹9,000 MRP. Our listings describe both as genuine Recoil products. Recoil's published warranty terms give one year from the original purchase and describe a US return process, so confirm India terms with us.

The bottom line

The S810 is the only Recoil DSP amplifier we list with ten amplified channels, alongside 24-bit/48 kHz processing, Bluetooth and USB playback. Its documentation leaves gaps in channel assignment, amplifier class, supply voltage and the 15 A fuse line, and we found no independent reviews, so confirm those points with Recoil before ordering.

Recoil S810 FAQ

How many speakers can the Recoil S810 drive?

It lists ten amplified channels, eight at 25 W RMS and two at 100 W RMS into 4 Ω, with ten speaker terminals. That is enough for a three-way front stage, a rear pair and two more speakers, once the channel map is confirmed.

What is the S810's 300 W bridged figure?

Recoil prints a bridged 1 x 300 W figure beside the RMS ratings, with no RMS or peak label. We treat it as unlabelled and do not use it for sizing; the labelled figures are 8 x 25 W RMS and 2 x 100 W RMS at 4 Ω.

Which remote does the S810 use?

The optional DRC2 connects through the S810's RJ45 port and is ₹9,000 MRP, sold separately. Recoil's own DRC2 page has no description, so ask us to confirm what it does before you order.

Can the Recoil S810 work with a factory radio?

It lists 8 high-level inputs, which take speaker-level signals, so a factory radio without pre-outs can feed it. Recoil also lists OEM harness compatibility, sold separately, but names no cars, so ask us about yours.
