Deaf Bonce 3015R Review: 2,800 W Through a 15-Inch Cone, and the Box It Needs
Updated: Oct 6
The Deaf Bonce 3015R is a 15-inch Apocalypse subwoofer rated at 2,800 W RMS (5,600 W max), with a 3-inch dual 2-ohm voice coil, 19 mm of Xmax and a listed SPL of 88.3 dB. Its India MRP is ₹1,29,990, ₹10,000 above its 12-inch counterpart, the 3012R, and under half the price of the 4,500 W 4515R. It suits SUVs, MUVs, pickups and vans where a large ported or sealed box is acceptable and the owner is planning a high-output system with the electrical work to support it. See the listing on our Deaf Bonce 3015R product page.

What stands out
2,800 W RMS on a 15-inch cone, with a 3-inch coil, 19 mm of Xmax and a BL of 26.1 T·m.
A Vas of 69.7 litres and a Qts of 0.47 mean a big enclosure; no box volume appears on Deaf Bonce's product page.
It's deep and heavy: 258.5 mm mounting depth, a 355.0 mm cut-out and 31.00 kg packed.
With Atom amplifiers, a single sub belongs at 1 ohm; 4 ohms needs a far larger amplifier for the same power.

Same rating as the 3012R, bigger cone
On paper the 3015R and the 3012R share their power rating, 3-inch coil diameter, 19 mm of Xmax and 38 mm of mechanical excursion, and their BL figures are almost identical (26.1 against 26.0 T·m). What changes is the cone. The 15-inch lists 88.3 dB against the 12-inch's 86.5 dB, and every millimetre of travel moves considerably more air.
The price of that bigger cone is volume. The 3015R's Vas of 69.7 litres is more than double the 3012R's 30.2 litres, and its 258.5 mm depth is 34.5 mm greater. In practice, the 15-inch is the choice when the vehicle has room to spare and the 12-inch when it doesn't.
The enclosure is the real commitment
Deaf Bonce's product page doesn't print a recommended box, so the design starts from an Fs of 32.5 Hz, a Qts of 0.47 and a Vas of 69.7 litres. A large Vas and a mid-range Qts both point to a large box. Rule-of-thumb guides allow sealed or ported designs at a Qts like this, and a ported box will usually be bigger once the port is included, so model both before committing to one.
The box also has to be structurally serious. It carries a driver that ships at 31.00 kg, contains 19 mm of excursion at 2,800 W, and must leave more than 258.5 mm of clear depth behind the baffle. Thick, braced panels and a doubled baffle are normal at this level, and the finished enclosure will be heavy enough to need proper anchoring.
Wiring it, and which Atom to use
The D2 gives 1 ohm with its coils in parallel or 4 ohms in series. With Atom power, 1 ohm is the sensible choice for one sub. Deaf Bonce rates the Atom 3.5K PRO at 3,500 W into 1 ohm, which leaves headroom if the gain is set with care, while the same amplifier drops to 1,210 W into 4 ohms. Getting close to the sub's rating at 4 ohms would take the Atom 7.5K PRO, rated at 2,500 W into 4 ohms, a much bigger and costlier amplifier.
For a pair wired to 2 ohms, the Atom 9.5K PRO is rated at 5,650 W, close to the two subs' combined 5,600 W. All of these ratings are quoted at 14.4 V.
Electrical planning for 2,800 W
Divide 2,800 W by 14.4 V and you get about 194 A, before the amplifier's own losses. That's a continuous load to plan around. Typical steps include the Big 3 upgrade, a high-output alternator, extra battery capacity close to the amplifier, and cable sized for the current, with fuses at each battery. The Atom 3.5K PRO's power terminal takes 0 AWG.
Supply voltage also sets the ceiling. Deaf Bonce rates the Atom 9.5K PRO at 9,500 W into 1 ohm at 14.4 V but 8,050 W at 12 V, and the same principle applies to every amplifier: a charging system that sags with the engine idling and the AC on will cost output.
What owners and reviewers say about the Deaf Bonce 3015R
We found no owner reviews or independent measurements of the 3015R that we could read when we checked in October 2026. Deaf Bonce's page is a specification sheet, and the big retailer and forum sites we tried were either blocked to automated access or had nothing on this model. So there's no consensus to report, and we haven't manufactured one.
If a 3015R powers your build, we'd like to hear about your vehicle, box and amplifier. Verified owner feedback will be added here.
How it compares with the SA255 and 4515R
The SA255 (₹44,990) is the moderate 15-inch in our Apocalypse range: 1,000 W RMS, 15 mm of Xmax, 187.9 mm of depth and a 358.0 mm cut-out. Its Vas of 62.1 litres is in the same territory, so it also needs a large box, just a much smaller electrical system.
Above, the 4515R (₹2,89,000) raises the rating to 4,500 W with a 4.5-inch coil, a carbon cone and 22.5 mm of Xmax. It uses the same 355.0 mm cut-out and a similar 68.4-litre Vas, but its Qts of 0.36 differs, so a box built for one still needs re-modelling for the other.
Who it suits, and who it doesn't
It suits owners of larger vehicles who want 15-inch output at the 2,800 W level and are ready to fund the box, the amplifier and the charging upgrades together.
It doesn't suit sedans and hatchbacks that need their boot, cars that will keep their factory electrics, or buyers who want everyday bass; the SA255 is a far easier 15-inch to live with.
Installation notes for Indian cars
Measure the load area, the tailgate opening and the height under any tonneau cover or parcel shelf before the box is designed, and allow for its weight when choosing mounting points. On rough roads, a heavy enclosure that isn't bolted down can shift; fix it to the body with proper hardware.
Keep the amplifier ventilated, route cables through grommets and away from sharp edges, and expect to treat the tailgate, number plate and rear panels for rattles; see our sound damping guide. At these output levels hearing protection matters, so keep long-drive volume sensible. VA3 Car Studio offers professional installation in Ghaziabad and can build a custom enclosure to the volume you settle on.
Price and where to buy
The Deaf Bonce 3015R D2 has an MRP of ₹1,29,990. We often sell below MRP, so check the current offer on our 3015R D2 store listing.

Summing up
The 3015R gives the 3012R's rating and near-identical motor figures a 15-inch cone and a higher listed SPL, at the cost of a Vas more than twice the 12-inch's, which points to a bigger box, and a deeper, heavier driver. It only makes sense in a vehicle with space to give and an electrical system built for close to 200 A. We found no owner feedback, so plan it on the published figures.
Deaf Bonce 3015R FAQ
What box does the Deaf Bonce 3015R need?
Deaf Bonce publishes no box volume on its product page. With a Vas of 69.7 litres, a Qts of 0.47 and an Fs of 32.5 Hz, expect a large enclosure, and model sealed and ported options before building. Allow more than 258.5 mm of depth and a 355.0 mm cut-out.
Should I choose the 3015R or the 3012R?
Both are rated at 2,800 W with 19 mm of Xmax. The 15-inch 3015R lists a higher SPL of 88.3 dB against 86.5 dB, but its Vas is more than double and it costs ₹10,000 more. Choose the 3012R when space or class rules call for a 12-inch.
Can the 3015R run at 4 ohms?
Yes, with its coils in series, but Atom amplifiers make much less power into 4 ohms. The Atom 3.5K PRO falls to 1,210 W there, and getting near the sub's rating would take an Atom 7.5K PRO, rated at 2,500 W into 4 ohms. With Atom amplifiers, a single sub is normally wired to 1 ohm.
