Updated: Oct 6

The Deaf Bonce 4515R is a 15-inch Apocalypse subwoofer rated at 4,500 W RMS (9,000 W max), built around a 4.5-inch dual 2-ohm voice coil, a carbon cone and 22.5 mm of Xmax. It carries an India MRP of ₹2,89,000, sharing the top of the Apocalypse range we sell with the 18-inch 4518R. This is not a daily-listening upgrade: it's a driver for SPL competitors and enthusiasts who will build the vehicle's electrical system, enclosure and mounting around it. See it on our Deaf Bonce 4515R product page.

Deaf Bonce 4515R D2 15-inch Apocalypse subwoofer

Before you read further

  • 4,500 W RMS on a 15-inch carbon cone, driven by a 4.5-inch coil with a BL of 27.9 T·m.

  • 22.5 mm of Xmax and 45 mm of mechanical excursion, the most of any Apocalypse sub we sell that lists the figure.

  • 303.5 mm deep and 59.80 kg packed, so the box and its mounting are major engineering jobs.

  • Full output corresponds to more than 300 A at 14.4 V, before amplifier losses.

The figures match the D2 column on Deaf Bonce's official 4515R D1/D2 page, checked in October 2026. Deaf Bonce also lists a D1 version; our listing is the D2.

What sets it apart from the 3015R

The 4515R shares a 355.0 mm cut-out and a similar Vas (68.4 against 69.7 litres) with the 3015R, but almost everything else moves up. The coil grows from 3 inches to 4.5, the paper cone becomes carbon, Xmax rises from 19 to 22.5 mm, BL from 26.1 to 27.9 T·m and the rating from 2,800 to 4,500 W. The packed weight nearly doubles, from 31.00 to 59.80 kg, and the driver is 45 mm deeper.

A larger voice coil has more surface area to shed heat, which is one reason high-power competition drivers use big coils, and the long excursion lets the cone move more air before it runs out of travel. The price moves up too, to more than twice the 3015R's MRP.

Box design for a 22.5 mm Xmax driver

Deaf Bonce's product page lists no recommended box. Work from the published Fs of 32.4 Hz, Qts of 0.36 and Vas of 68.4 litres; a Qts this low is the kind rule-of-thumb guides associate with ported enclosures, and a 15-inch ported box at this Vas will be large.

The construction matters as much as the volume. A cone moving 22.5 mm at 4,500 W puts enormous force into the panels, so competition boxes typically use multiple layers of board, heavy internal bracing and a reinforced baffle sized to carry a driver that ships at almost 60 kg. Leave more than 303.5 mm behind the baffle and size the port generously, because port noise rises quickly at these air speeds.

Amplifier pairing: one sub, or two

The D2 presents 1 ohm with its coils in parallel or 4 ohms in series. For one sub, 1 ohm suits the Atom range best. Deaf Bonce rates the Atom 5.5K PRO at 5,500 W into 1 ohm at 14.4 V, leaving headroom that has to be managed with careful gain setting. The Atom 3.5K PRO, at 3,500 W into 1 ohm, would leave the sub well short of its rating.

Two 4515Rs are harder. Two D2s can be wired to 2 ohms, but even the Atom 12.5K PRO is rated at 6,950 W into 2 ohms, short of the pair's combined 9,000 W, which is why builds like this often give each sub its own amplifier.

More than 300 A: power planning

4,500 W divided by 14.4 V is about 312 A, and real amplifiers draw more than that because of their losses. A system like this is designed from the battery outwards: alternator capacity, a battery bank sized for the current, the Big 3 upgrade, short main runs in heavy cable, and fusing at every battery. The Atom 5.5K PRO's power terminal takes 0 AWG; our Tchernov 0 AWG cable review covers cable of that size.

Deaf Bonce's own ratings show how much voltage matters at this level: the Atom 5.5K PRO drops from 5,500 W into 1 ohm at 14.4 V to 3,900 W at 12 V. Indian summers, heavy AC use and long idling all work against a weak charging system.

What owners and reviewers say about the Deaf Bonce 4515R

When we checked in October 2026, we found no owner reviews, competition write-ups or independent tests of the 4515R that we could read. Deaf Bonce's page carries specifications only, and the large retailer and forum sites we tried were blocked to automated access or showed nothing relevant. We won't present a verdict we can't source.

If you compete with a 4515R, we'd welcome details of your vehicle, box, amplifiers and electrical setup, and we'll add verified owner feedback here.

4515R vs 4518R

The 4518R (₹2,99,990) uses the same 4,500 W rating, 4.5-inch coil and carbon cone on an 18-inch frame. It lists a higher SPL (89.0 against 87.8 dB) but needs a 462.3 mm cut-out, 327.0 mm of depth and a box designed around a Vas of 153 litres, more than twice the 4515R's. The 15-inch is the more practical way to get this power rating when space is limited, if anything at this level can be called practical.

Who should buy it, and who shouldn't

Buy the 4515R if you're building a competition or show vehicle, your budget covers amplification, batteries and charging upgrades well beyond the sub's own price, and you have a qualified installer for the box and electrics.

Don't buy it if you want better bass for everyday driving. The SA255 or 3015R will be far easier to power, house and live with.

Installation and safety notes for Indian vehicles

An enclosure carrying a driver of this weight must be bolted to the vehicle's structure; in a sudden stop, an unsecured box becomes a dangerous projectile. Plan cable routes away from fuel lines and sharp edges, protect every positive run with correctly rated fuses close to each battery, and make sure batteries are mounted and vented as their makers require.

Output at this level can cause hearing damage and will shake trim, glass and number plates; our sound damping guide explains how to tackle rattles. Ask us to assess the vehicle before you commit. VA3 Car Studio offers professional installation in Ghaziabad and can build a custom box to the volume you model.

Price and where to buy

The Deaf Bonce 4515R D2 has an MRP of ₹2,89,000. We often sell below MRP; see the current offer on our 4515R D2 store listing.

Deaf Bonce 4515R - another view

The bottom line

The 4515R combines a 4.5-inch coil, a carbon cone and 22.5 mm of Xmax in a 15-inch driver, with a 4,500 W rating to match. The sub is only part of the cost: more than 300 A of supply, at least one very large amplifier and a heavily built box come with it. There's no owner track record we could find, so treat the published figures as the starting point for a fully engineered build.

Deaf Bonce 4515R FAQ

What amplifier suits a Deaf Bonce 4515R?

With its coils in parallel for 1 ohm, the Atom 5.5K PRO is rated at 5,500 W into 1 ohm at 14.4 V, which gives headroom if the gain is set carefully. The Atom 3.5K PRO, at 3,500 W into 1 ohm, would leave the sub well short of its 4,500 W rating.

How much current does the 4515R need?

At 14.4 V, 4,500 W corresponds to about 312 A before amplifier losses, so the real draw is higher. Plan alternator capacity, batteries, heavy cabling and fusing as one system before buying the sub.

Is the 4515R suitable for a daily driver?

It can be installed in one, but its box size, weight and electrical demands make it a driver for dedicated high-output builds. For everyday bass, the SA255 or 3015R is far easier to power and accommodate.
