Recoil DII3300.1 Review: Mono Amplifier Rated 3,300 W RMS at 1 Ohm

6 min read

The Recoil DII3300.1 is a Class D mono amplifier that Recoil rates at 3,300 W RMS into 1 Ω, 2,000 W RMS into 2 Ω and 1,000 W RMS into 4 Ω, without stating a test voltage. A mono amplifier like this normally drives one or more subwoofers, and the load you wire decides which rating applies. The Indian MRP is ₹45,000; see our Recoil DII3300.1 product page.

Recoil DII3300.1 Class D mono car amplifier

Key takeaways

  • Recoil's table labels all three power figures RMS: 3,300 W at 1 Ω, 2,000 W at 2 Ω and 1,000 W at 4 Ω. It states no test voltage.

  • Choose the final subwoofer impedance first, because it decides which of the three ratings you get.

  • Recoil lists a 10 Hz – 50 Hz high-pass filter, a 50 Hz – 300 Hz low-pass filter, 0 – 16 dB bass boost and both low-level and high-level input ranges.

  • We found no independent owner review, and no fuse rating in Recoil's published data.

Power, filter and noise figures come from Recoil's DII3300.1 page and our store listing, which agree. Bass boost and input ranges come from our listing and Recoil's promotional US web store page, which also prints 2,050 W at 2 Ω, a 44 Hz – 270 Hz low-pass range and a 10 Hz – 54 Hz high-pass range; we have not used those three. Recoil's general warranty page describes US terms and does not name this amplifier.

Matching a subwoofer to the 1, 2 and 4 ohm ratings

The 3,300 in the name belongs to the 1 Ω line only. The amplifier has three RMS figures because the load sets the output, so work out the subwoofer wiring first and then read the matching line. One 4 Ω voice coil is a 4 Ω load and sits on the 1,000 W line. A dual 4 Ω subwoofer with its coils in parallel is 2 Ω, the 2,000 W line. Two dual 4 Ω subwoofers with every coil in parallel make 1 Ω, the 3,300 W line. Wire the same dual 4 Ω coils in series and you get 8 Ω, where Recoil gives no rating.

Then compare that line with the subwoofer's own continuous RMS rating, not with the 3,300 W headline. A subwoofer rated far below 2,000 W RMS is a poor match for the 2,000 W line unless the gain is set with great care, while a 1,000 W RMS subwoofer on the 4 Ω line is a close fit. Tell us the model and the final load when you ask for a custom subwoofer box, and we can plan the enclosure and wiring together.

Filters, bass boost and inputs

In subwoofer use, a 10 Hz – 50 Hz high-pass filter acts as a subsonic filter, cutting the deepest frequencies that a ported box cannot use. Use the 0 – 16 dB bass boost sparingly, since every extra decibel at the bottom end asks more of both the amplifier and the subwoofer. If a DSP handles your crossovers, our guide to setting up a DSP in your car audio system covers the steps.

Recoil lists a high-level input range of 0.2 V – 2.5 V as well as the 1.1 V – 11 V low-level range, which is the speaker-level route alongside RCA. Our listing adds a 2/4-channel input switch and RCA pass-through outputs. Check the manual for the connector layout before you buy a line-output converter you may not need.

What owners and reviewers say about the Recoil DII3300.1

When we checked in October 2026, we found no independent review, owner thread or retailer review page to read for the DII3300.1. Recoil's own page shows "Reviews (0)", and its US web store page carries no ratings. Retailer, video and forum sites that block automated reading may hold reviews we could not open, so we have no owner view to report and will not invent one.

If you already run this amplifier, tell us which subwoofers and wiring you used and how it handled long drives. That kind of note would fill the gap better than any spec sheet.

DII3300.1 vs DII5000.1, DII1400.5 and RL1600.1

The Recoil DII5000.1 (₹60,000 MRP) is the other DII mono amplifier we list, ₹15,000 above the DII3300.1 and 70 mm longer at 301 mm. Its page gives 5,200 W at 1 Ω, 3,180 W at 2 Ω and 1,800 W at 4 Ω at 14.4 V with no RMS label, so do not set those numbers against the DII3300.1's RMS rows.

The Recoil DII1400.5 (₹40,000 MRP) is a five-channel amplifier that saves a box if you want door speakers and one subwoofer together. Its mono channel is rated at 800 W at 2 Ω against the DII3300.1's 2,000 W RMS, and the labels differ.

On a smaller budget we also list the L3-series Recoil RL1600.1 mono amplifier (₹27,000 MRP). Its listing title says 1500 W at 1 Ω with no rating type, so do not compare it directly with the DII3300.1's RMS rows.

Who should buy it, and who shouldn't

Buy the DII3300.1 if your subwoofers can use the 1,000 W, 2,000 W or 3,300 W line you plan to wire, you want RMS-labelled ratings, and your car's electrical system is ready for a load of this size.

Look elsewhere if you have a single subwoofer rated well below the 1,000 W line, where a smaller amplifier is the better match, or if you want doors and subwoofer from one box. Our guide on whether you need an amplifier in your car covers the basics first.

Installation notes for Indian cars

At 231 x 180 x 70 mm the amplifier needs a flat, ventilated spot. We found no mounting-hole spacing, and Recoil's page lists a weight only in a separate additional-information table that does not say whether it includes packaging, so check the manual for both, and keep the top reachable because our listing says the controls sit there under a protective cover.

We also found no fuse rating or idle current published, so take cable and fuse sizes from the manual. A rating of 3,300 W into 1 Ω leans hard on the battery, the alternator and the earth point, especially in stop-start traffic with the AC on, and Recoil lists an 8 V – 16 V operating range. Plan the electrical side first. VA3 Car Studio in Ghaziabad offers professional installation, custom subwoofer boxes and DSP tuning.

Price and where to buy

The DII3300.1's MRP in India is ₹45,000. We often sell below MRP, so check today's offer on the DII3300.1 product page. It is a genuine Recoil product; ask us which warranty terms apply in India before you order.

The bottom line

The DII3300.1 gives you three clearly labelled RMS ratings, and the skill is in choosing the load that suits your subwoofers. Its page leaves out a test voltage, a fuse rating and any owner feedback, so confirm those in the manual and budget for a careful install.

Recoil DII3300.1 FAQ

Is the Recoil DII3300.1 rated in RMS?

Yes. Recoil's page labels 3,300 W at 1 Ω, 2,000 W at 2 Ω and 1,000 W at 4 Ω as RMS, with no test voltage stated. Its US web store page gives 2,050 W at 2 Ω, so we quote the first page and our listing.

What impedance does the DII3300.1 drive?

Recoil rates it at 1 Ω, 2 Ω and 4 Ω. Your subwoofer wiring decides which line applies: a single dual 4 Ω subwoofer with its coils in parallel is a 2 Ω load, which is the 2,000 W RMS line.

Does the DII3300.1 accept speaker-level input?

Recoil lists a high-level input sensitivity of 0.2 V – 2.5 V alongside the 1.1 V – 11 V low-level range, which is the speaker-level route. Check the manual for the connector layout before you plan the wiring.
