AudioControl LC-6.1200 Review: Specifications, Installation and Comparisons
Quick summary: the buying decision
The LC-6.1200 is a high-power 6-channel amplifier for factory system upgrades: it takes speaker-level signals directly (8 inputs), compensates for factory bass roll-off with AccuBASS and delivers 6 x 125 W RMS at 4 ohm. Crossovers are set on the amplifier rather than in an app, so time alignment and detailed equalisation need a separate processor if your build needs them.
AudioControl LC-6.1200: what it is
The AudioControl LC-6.1200 is a high-power 6-channel amplifier built for factory system integration. It delivers 6 x 125 W RMS at 4 ohm or 6 x 200 W RMS at 2 ohm, accepts eight summable speaker-level inputs and can be configured as a 6, 5, 4, 3 or 2-channel amplifier.
AudioControl's LC amplifiers are built for cars that keep the factory head unit. The LC-6.1200 can be configured as a 6, 5, 4, 3 or 2-channel amplifier and shares its power ratings and chassis size with the matching D-series DSP amplifier.

Key features
Eight active speaker-level inputs with summing for most factory-installed source units, plus 6 balanced preamp inputs and 2 assignable preamp outputs
3-way independent Linkwitz-Riley crossover network, adjustable from 30 Hz to 5,000 Hz
Patented AccuBASS circuit compensates for factory bass roll-off
GTO signal sense, MILC maximum input level control and PFM subsonic filter
Optional ACR-1 assignable remote level control; solid one-piece aluminium chassis
Specifications explained
Rated power at 14.4 V is 6 x 125 W at 4 ohm and 6 x 200 W at 2 ohm, with 400 W RMS from a bridged pair at 4 ohm. AudioControl quotes a 10 Hz – 30 kHz frequency response, a signal-to-noise ratio of 102 dBA (ref. 200 W at 2 ohm) and THD+N of less than 0.1%.
It has 8 speaker-level inputs (3 – 40 V RMS) and 6 balanced preamp inputs (250 mV – 8 V RMS), and a 3-way Linkwitz-Riley crossover network adjustable from 30 Hz to 5,000 Hz.

Factory integration: speaker-level inputs and AccuBASS
The speaker-level inputs accept 3 – 40 V RMS, so the amplifier can take its signal straight from a factory head unit or many factory amplifiers. Signal summing combines filtered factory channels, AccuBASS compensates for factory bass roll-off, GTO signal sense turns the amplifier on from the audio signal, and MILC (maximum input level control) helps match the input to the source.
Channel layouts and crossovers
Configured as a 6, 5, 4, 3 or 2-channel amplifier, the LC-6.1200 can run front and rear speakers, or bridge channel pairs for more power (400 W RMS at 4 ohm per bridged pair). With a 3-way Linkwitz-Riley crossover network adjustable from 30 Hz to 5,000 Hz, you can send high-pass to the speakers and low-pass to a subwoofer without extra processing.
An optional ACR-1 remote adds level control from the driver's seat. If you later want time alignment and app-based equalisation, a DM-810 DSP can sit before the amplifier.
Wiring and fusing
AudioControl specifies at least 3 AWG power and ground wire, and the amplifier carries 3 x 40 A fuses. Fit a main fuse close to the battery sized for the cable, keep the ground short and on bare metal, and route signal and power cables on opposite sides of the car. The amplifier measures 12.0 x 8.0 x 2.1 in (W x D x H).

How it compares
Within the LC range:
AudioControl LC-5.1300: 4 x 100 W + 1 x 300 W RMS at 4 ohm, 8 speaker-level inputs, crossovers set on the amplifier, ₹1,27,490
AudioControl LC-4.800: 4 x 125 W RMS at 4 ohm, 6 speaker-level inputs, crossovers set on the amplifier, ₹89,240
The AudioControl D-6.1200 has the same rated power and adds an app-tuned matrix DSP with time alignment, a 30-band equaliser and RTAs, at ₹1,74,240 against ₹1,27,490 for the LC-6.1200.
Price and value in India
At the time of writing (October 2026), VA3 Car Studio lists the LC-6.1200 at ₹1,27,490, 15% below the MRP of ₹1,49,990. It costs less than the matching D-series DSP amplifier because it leaves out the app-tuned DSP. Prices can change, so the product page always shows the current price.
Verdict: who should shortlist the LC-6.1200
Shortlist the LC-6.1200 if you are keeping the factory head unit and want clean power with straightforward integration. If the car needs time alignment and detailed equalisation to image properly, the extra cost of the D-series version is usually worth it.
Real-world reviews and limitations
We have not yet published a VA3 installation report for the LC-6.1200. The figures in this review are AudioControl's published specifications, not our own measurements, and real-world results depend on the installation, the wiring and the tune. If you have used one, we would welcome your feedback.
