Morel Hybrid Integra 62 Review: Point-Source Sound From One Mounting Hole
The Morel Hybrid Integra 62 is a 6.5-inch point-source speaker from Morel's Hybrid range: the tweeter sits at the centre of the woofer, so both play from a single point, and a separate MXR passive crossover splits the signal between them. Our listing rates it at 100 W RMS (300 W peak) with 91 dB sensitivity. Its Indian MRP is ₹99,990, ₹10,000 below the Hybrid 62 component set. It suits owners who want one mounting position per side, either to keep a factory look or because the car has no good place for a separate tweeter. You can check stock and today's price on our Hybrid Integra 62 product page.

Quick summary
Point-source layout: the tweeter is mounted at the woofer's centre, so one hole per side does the job of a woofer and a tweeter.
An external MXR crossover with a red tweeter-level jumper comes with it, and Morel's guide also gives an active set-up at 2,500 Hz.
Dealers disagree on the power and response ratings; our listing says 100 W RMS and 65 Hz – 25 kHz, so size your amplifier to the lower figure.
The trade-off against a component set is placement: the tweeter stays wherever the woofer goes, usually low in the door.

A note on the ratings: Celsus ICE lists the same 100 W RMS, 300 W peak and 65 Hz figures as our listing, while OnlineCarStereo and Frankies list 140 W RMS, 600 W peak and 35 Hz, which are the Hybrid 62 component set's figures. Morel's own product page would not load for us in October 2026, so we could not settle it at the source. Set-up details below come from Morel's Hybrid installation guide (PDF), which covers the Integra models.
How the Integra layout works
A conventional coaxial bolts a tweeter on a bridge in front of the woofer cone, so the two drivers sit at different depths, and the bridge itself can get in the way of the woofer's output. Morel's Integra layout puts the tweeter at the centre of the woofer, so both radiate from the same point. Dealer listings describe the point-source topology as a way to avoid the acoustic problems of conventional coaxials. The practical aim is a smoother handover between the two drivers, because their sound starts from one place rather than two.
Rather than a small capacitor on the tweeter, the Hybrid Integra 62 uses an outboard crossover. Frankies Auto Electrics identifies it as the MXR 250.4i, one of the three crossovers in the parts list of Morel's Hybrid guide, and the guide shows a red jumper that sets the tweeter at +3 dB, 0 dB (flat) or −3 dB. Grilles are included, according to dealer listings.
Passive, active, and what you give up
Passive is the obvious way to run it: one amplifier channel per side into the MXR crossover. With 91 dB sensitivity it will play from a head unit, but at 100 W RMS it can take several times what a head unit delivers, so a modest amplifier is the better plan. With a subwoofer, high-pass the Integras, commonly around 60 to 80 Hz; our listing's response starts at 65 Hz.
Morel's guide also gives an active set-up for the Hybrid Integra system: tweeter high-passed and woofer low-passed at 2,500 Hz, at 12 dB or 24 dB per octave. That needs four channels and a DSP. Going active also allows per-driver EQ and time alignment, which can lift the image a little even with the speakers in the doors. VA3 Car Studio does DSP tuning, and our guide on setting up a DSP covers the basics.
The trade-off is placement. A component set lets you mount the tweeter on the A-pillar or dash, close to ear height; here the tweeter goes wherever the woofer goes. If your car offers a good high tweeter position and you want the most say over imaging, the Hybrid 62 is the better tool. If it doesn't, or you want the cabin to look stock, the Integra avoids cutting the dash or pillars.
What owners and reviewers say about the Morel Hybrid Integra 62
When we checked in October 2026, we found no owner or professional reviews of the Hybrid Integra 62 that we could read. Celsus ICE, Frankies Auto Electrics and OnlineCarStereo carry specifications and promotional descriptions but no customer reviews. On DIYMobileAudio there is a thread on the Hybrid Integra 62, but the forum blocked our reader, so we cannot say what it contains.
Even the published figures disagree between dealers. If you have fitted a pair, tell us how it sounds in your doors and what amplifier you used.
Morel Hybrid Integra 62 vs Hybrid 62 and Tempo Ultra Integra 602 MKII
The Hybrid 62 (₹1,09,990) is the component version of the Hybrid two-way, with separate tweeters you can mount high and a 140 W RMS rating in our listing. For ₹10,000 more you get placement freedom and more headroom on our listings, at the cost of a more involved install. The three-way Hybrid 63 goes further still.
Morel's Integra layout also appears lower down our price list in the Tempo Ultra Integra 602 MKII (₹25,990). Its listing quotes 120 W RMS against the Hybrid's 100 W, and 90 dB against 91 dB, so the Hybrid's higher price is not explained by its published ratings. If you want a shallow Morel two-way instead, the Nano Carbon 62 component set lists a woofer depth of just 17 mm in Morel's guide.
Who should buy it, and who shouldn't
Buy the Hybrid Integra 62 if you want a Hybrid-range speaker in a single mounting position per side, prefer a stock-looking cabin, or have no good spot for a separate tweeter. It also suits owners who want an external crossover and the option of going active later.
Look elsewhere if you can mount tweeters high and want more control over imaging, in which case the Hybrid 62 is the better fit. If you need firm published power figures before buying, the conflicting dealer ratings are a reason to hesitate.
Installation notes for Indian cars
Celsus ICE lists a 14.1 cm mounting hole and 6.1 cm depth, and OnlineCarStereo gives a similar 2.44-inch top-mount depth, so check window clearance with the glass fully down. Factory openings vary, and many need an adapter; VA3 Car Studio builds custom door baffles, which give the speaker a solid mounting face and can bring it forward of a clashing window channel.
With both drivers in the door, the panel's behaviour shapes everything you hear, so damp it properly; our sound-damping guide explains the method. Mount the MXR crossovers somewhere dry rather than inside the wet side of the door, especially in a car that sees monsoon rain. VA3 Car Studio in Ghaziabad offers professional installation.
Price and where to buy
The Morel Hybrid Integra 62 carries an MRP of ₹99,990. VA3 Car Studio often sells below MRP, so check the current offer on the Integra 62 product page. Every pair we sell is a genuine Morel product.
The bottom line
This is the Hybrid range in a point-source package: one hole per side, an external MXR crossover with tweeter adjustment, and Morel's own active set-up if you want it later. Its weak spots are placement, since the tweeter stays in the door, and conflicting dealer ratings, so plan on the lower 100 W RMS figure. We found no owner reviews to report; judge it by the install you can give it.
Morel Hybrid Integra 62 FAQ
Is the Morel Hybrid Integra 62 a coaxial speaker?
Dealers often list it as a coaxial, but Morel's Integra layout mounts the tweeter at the centre of the woofer so both play from one point, and it uses an external MXR crossover rather than a small inline filter.
How much power does the Hybrid Integra 62 handle?
Our listing and Celsus ICE say 100 W RMS and 300 W peak, while two other dealers quote 140 W RMS and 600 W peak. Until that is settled, choose an amplifier to suit the lower figure.
Can the Integra 62 be run active?
Yes. Morel's Hybrid guide gives an active set-up for the Integra with the tweeter high-passed and the woofer low-passed at 2,500 Hz, at 12 or 24 dB per octave, which needs four channels and a DSP.
