AudioControl EPICPRO6X Review: Specifications, Fitment and Comparisons
Quick summary: the buying decision
The EPICPRO6X is a pair of 6.5-inch pro midrange speakers, rated at 200 W RMS / 300 W max at 4 ohm, covering 120 Hz – 12 kHz. A dedicated midrange takes the vocal band away from the woofer and tweeter, which is what makes a 3-way system sound clearer and more focused when it is filtered and placed properly.
AudioControl EPICPRO6X: what it is
The AudioControl EPICPRO6X is a pair of 6.5-inch EPIC Pro midrange speakers rated at 200 W RMS (300 W max) and 4 ohm, with 94.8 dB sensitivity (1 W / 1 m) for huge output and far projection with low distortion.
AudioControl's EPIC Pro speakers are pro-audio-style, high-efficiency drivers built for loud, far-projecting sound with low distortion at high volume. They are voiced to pair with AudioControl EPIC Series amplifiers and suit SQL and SPL builds where output matters.

Key features
Phase cap combines a dust cap and phase plug to widen bandwidth, raise efficiency and smooth the mid-to-high transition
High efficiency and low distortion for concert-level output at high volume
Built to handle high power for high SPL and dynamic impact
Lightweight components built to precise tolerances
Voiced to pair with AudioControl EPIC Series amplifiers
Specifications explained
AudioControl publishes: power handling 200 W RMS / 300 W max; impedance 4 ohm; frequency response 120 Hz – 12 kHz; sensitivity 94.8 dB (1 W / 1 m) or 97.8 dB (2.83 V / 1 m).
The two sensitivity figures are the same measurement expressed two ways: for a 4-ohm speaker, 2.83 V equals 2 W, so the 2.83 V figure reads 3 dB higher than the 1 W figure.
Fitment: overall diameter 170 mm (6.7 in), cut-out 149.7 mm (5.9 in), mounting depth 77 mm (3.0 in), total depth 84.1 mm (3.3 in).

Fitment: will it fit your car?
Measure the factory opening and the depth available behind it, including clearance to the window glass and its channel at full travel. The EPICPRO6X needs 77 mm (3.0 in) of mounting depth and a 149.7 mm (5.9 in) cut-out. Spacers or adapter rings are often needed in many cars, and a solid, sealed baffle with door damping makes more difference to midbass than the speaker change alone.
Crossover, filtering and placement
With a 120 Hz to 12 kHz response it is a midrange, not a full-range speaker: band-pass it, and pair it with a high-output tweeter such as the EPIC Pro range.
Mount it in a solid, sealed baffle (door or kick panel) and pair it with a matching tweeter; a DSP makes the integration much easier.
Amplification
At 200 W RMS (300 W max) and 4 ohm, one channel of AudioControl's EPICBIGFOUR (4 x 200 W at 4 ohm) is a direct match.

Price and value in India
At the time of writing (October 2026), VA3 Car Studio lists the EPICPRO6X at ₹15,290, 15% below the MRP of ₹17,990. Budget for mounting work and proper filtering, which decide how well a midrange integrates with the rest of the system. Prices can change, so the product page always shows the current price.
Verdict: who should shortlist the EPICPRO6X
The EPICPRO6X is the higher-output, deeper-mounting EPIC Pro midrange for loud builds with space behind the baffle.
