DS18 OFCKIT Wiring Kit Review: OFCKIT4, OFCKIT8 and OFCKIT0 Compared
The DS18 OFCKIT Wiring Kit is a family of three amplifier installation kits that our listings call 100 percent pure copper, with oxygen-free copper (OFC) power and ground cables: the OFCKIT8 (8 GA), OFCKIT4 (4 GA) and OFCKIT0 (0 GA). The listings say each suits one amplifier of up to 840, 1,800 and 3,000 W RMS, and the India MRPs are ₹7,990, ₹16,990 and ₹34,990. Each adds RCA, turn-on and speaker cables, a fuse holder and a grommet. Start with the OFCKIT4 listing.

Quick summary
Three kits with OFC power and ground cables: 8 GA for one amplifier of up to 840 W RMS (₹7,990), 4 GA up to 1,800 W RMS (₹16,990) and 0 GA up to 3,000 W RMS (₹34,990).
DS18's kit ratings are RMS only. Match them to your amplifier's RMS, never its peak or max figure.
Our description names OFC for the power and ground cables, and DS18's overview adds the remote cable. Neither says what the RCA and speaker cables are made of.
Only the maker's store reviews were readable: 2 for the OFCKIT4, 1 for the OFCKIT8 and 1 for the OFCKIT0.

All three kits also include a 17 ft (5.2 m) red/black twisted RCA cable, a 17 ft turn-on cable and a rubber grommet. Our listings do not itemise cable ties or terminals, which our AMPKIT listings do, so ask us what you will need at the battery and amplifier ends. DS18's US pages show a 2-year warranty badge with no terms, so confirm India terms with us.
The figures follow our listings and DS18's pages for the OFCKIT8, OFCKIT4 and OFCKIT0, the maker's own marketing.
How to read DS18's RMS ratings
DS18's key features and our listings label each kit rating RMS, but other text on all three DS18 pages repeats the figure without the label, so we quote only the labelled version. DS18 prints no peak or max figure for the kits, no supply voltage and no test condition.
DS18's amplifier pages often print peak or max power beside RMS. Its G-series manual lists the DS18 G3600.1D at 3,600 W peak but 500, 900 and 1,200 W RMS at 4, 2 and 1 ohm, with a 4 GA terminal and an external 120 A fuse. It lists the DS18 G1000.4D at 1,000 W peak but 4 x 90 W RMS at 4 ohm and 4 x 150 W at 2 ohm (360 W and 600 W in total). Neither peak figure belongs beside a kit's RMS rating.
On the printed RMS figures, the G3600.1D's 1,200 W at 1 ohm sits under the OFCKIT4's 1,800 W, and the G1000.4D's 600 W total at 2 ohm sits under the OFCKIT8's 840 W. Check the fuse too: the G3600.1D's manual prints an external 120 A fuse, while the OFCKIT4 includes a 150 A one, so settle which value you will fit before powering up. That is arithmetic, not a DS18 pairing, and the manual states no supply voltage for its ratings.
What the pages leave out
The power cable is a fixed 17 ft, so measure the real battery-to-amplifier path first. A longer run needs wire by the roll: our DS18 CCA Power and Ground Wire review covers DS18's 4 GA and 8 GA rolls, which are CCA, not OFC.
DS18's pages also disagree with themselves. A description tag on the OFCKIT4 page mentions a 100 A fuse, while its key features and our listing say 150 A, which we use. The OFCKIT0 page names the holder ANL in one place and Mini ANL in another, so confirm the holder with us. DS18 names no material for the RCA and speaker cables, so we do not extend the OFC claim to them.
What owners and reviewers say about the DS18 OFCKIT Wiring Kit
When we checked in October 2026, the only owner feedback we could read was on DS18's own web shop, so these are the maker's store reviews, not independent testing. They carry no dates, and all sit in the top row of an unlabelled rating breakdown.
The OFCKIT4 page shows 2 reviews. One says the kit was easy to set up and the wire top quality. The other, from a buyer who swapped CCA wire for this kit, says they can notice the system pulling more power that it had been starved of, and advises OFC for new builds or upgrades. That is one buyer's impression with no measurements, so it is not evidence of what OFC adds. The OFCKIT8 page shows 1 review, calling it a perfect install kit with everything needed and excellent quality. The OFCKIT0 page also shows 1 review, calling it great wire with no problems so far.
The OFCKIT against the AMPKIT
Our DS18 AMPKIT review covers the CCA version in the same three gauges. Our listings give the same cable sizes for both, so the differences we can see are the conductor, rating, fuse, listed fittings and price. The OFCKIT's MRPs are higher by ₹4,500 (8 GA), ₹11,000 (4 GA) and ₹25,000 (0 GA). DS18's ratings do not simply favour copper: the 8 GA kits are both 840 W RMS, the OFCKIT4 is 1,800 W RMS against the AMPKIT4's 1,680, and the OFCKIT0 is 3,000 W RMS against the AMPKIT0's 3,500. Fuses are 80, 150 and 250 A here (8, 4 and 0 GA), against 60, 120 and 250 A on the AMPKIT.
As general wire practice, pure copper has lower resistance than CCA of the same size, but DS18 publishes no resistance figure for either kit.
Who should buy it, and who shouldn't
Buy a DS18 OFCKIT Wiring Kit if you are fitting one amplifier, want OFC power and ground cables, and the 17 ft power run is long enough. Pick the gauge from your amplifier's RMS, fuse and terminal figures.
Look elsewhere if you accept CCA and want a lower MRP (the AMPKIT), need a longer power run (a roll), need terminals or cable ties that our listings do not itemise, or plan to feed more than one amplifier, since each kit has a single power cable and fuse holder.
Installation notes for Indian cars
DS18's G-series amplifier manual, which covers its amplifiers and not these kits, says to fit an in-line fuse or circuit breaker within 18 inches (about 46 cm) of the battery, use grommets where wire passes through the firewall or other metal, disconnect the battery ground cable first, leave the fuse out until the wiring is done, and avoid sharp edges and hot or moving objects. The kit lists one grommet. VA3 Car Studio in Ghaziabad offers professional installation and DSP tuning.
Price and where to buy
The India MRPs are ₹7,990 for the OFCKIT8, ₹16,990 for the OFCKIT4 and ₹34,990 for the OFCKIT0. We often sell below MRP, so check the current price on each page. Our listings describe all three as genuine DS18 products.

The bottom line
The DS18 OFCKIT Wiring Kit is a one-box kit with OFC power and ground cables in three gauges. Match DS18's up to RMS rating to your amplifier's RMS and fuse, not its peak figure, and choose the AMPKIT if you accept CCA.
DS18 OFCKIT Wiring Kit FAQ
Is the DS18 OFCKIT Wiring Kit pure copper?
Our listings call each kit 100 percent pure copper and describe OFC power and ground cables. DS18's overview adds the remote cable but names no material for the RCA and speaker cables.
Which DS18 OFCKIT Wiring Kit do I need for my amplifier?
Compare your amplifier's total RMS at the load you will run, not its peak or max figure, with the kit's up to RMS rating, then check the amplifier's fuse and terminal size. DS18 prints no supply voltage for the kit ratings.
Does the DS18 OFCKIT Wiring Kit include terminals and cable ties?
Our listings itemise only a rubber grommet beyond the cables, fuse holder and loom tube. They do not list terminals or cable ties, so ask us before you order if you need them.
