Morel Jimny Enclosure Review: A Kinetic KS104 Box for the Maruti Suzuki Jimny

Oct 7
5 min read

The Morel Jimny Enclosure is a vehicle-specific subwoofer enclosure made to fit the Maruti Suzuki Jimny, supplied loaded with Morel's 10-inch Kinetic KS104, which our listing rates at 300 W RMS and 600 W peak into 4 ohms, with 88 dB sensitivity. It is one of six Morel vehicle enclosures we sell, all credited to the Morel India 2026 catalogue, and its ₹33,990 MRP matches the other KS104-loaded versions. It suits a Jimny owner who wants a Morel sub in a box made for the car, and who is prepared to power it properly. The current price is on our Jimny enclosure product page.

Key takeaways

  • Loaded with the 10-inch Kinetic KS104: 4 ohms, 300 W RMS (600 W peak), 88 dB, and a listed response down to 32 Hz.

  • Our listing confirms the vehicle and the driver, but not the box's size, type or mounting, so check your model year with us.

  • Give it a proper amplifier and a clean signal; one Jimny owner's 10-inch install on bridged amplifier channels left him disappointed.

  • We found no reviews of this enclosure. JL's Jimny Stealthbox costs ₹3,500 more at MRP, and our listing doesn't name its driver.

These are the figures on our store listing, taken from Morel India's 2026 catalogue. We tried to check them on Morel's own website in October 2026, but it returned an error, and no Morel page about the Jimny box turned up.

What we know about the box, and what to check

Our listing names the vehicle as the Maruti Suzuki Jimny. Maruti Suzuki's NEXA Jimny page lists Zeta and Alpha variants, each with a manual or automatic gearbox, and features the ALLGRIP PRO four-wheel-drive system. Our listing doesn't say whether every version is covered; it asks buyers to check fitment for their model year, so confirm yours with us before ordering.

Nor does the listing describe the enclosure itself. There's no internal volume, no word on sealed or ported, and no dimensions or fixing points. Those details decide how much boot space stays usable and how the bass sounds, so they belong in the fitment conversation rather than being discovered on installation day.

Powering the KS104 properly

The KS104 is a 4-ohm driver rated at 300 W RMS, so the straightforward match is a mono amplifier with about that much output into 4 ohms. For one amplifier that also runs the speakers, Morel's MPD 5.550 lists 250 W RMS into 4 ohms on its sub channel, within the KS104's rating, alongside four 75 W channels. Bridging two channels of a four-channel amplifier is a common shortcut; if you go that way, check that the amplifier is rated for a 4-ohm bridged load and compare its bridged figure with the KS104's 300 W RMS.

The other half is the signal. If you keep the factory head unit, its speaker outputs can feed an amplifier's speaker-level inputs, or a line output converter such as the JL Audio LoC22, which our listing describes as a two-channel speaker-to-line converter accepting up to 40 V RMS per channel, with auto turn-on. A DSP then lets you set the crossover, level and delay so the sub blends with the doors; VA3 Car Studio offers DSP tuning.

What owners and reviewers say about the Morel Jimny Enclosure

We found no owner reviews, forum posts or press tests of this enclosure when we checked in October 2026, and Morel's website didn't load for us.

The closest owner account involves a different sub and box. In a Team-BHP Jimny audio thread, an owner described plans on 2 December 2024 to fit a 10-inch Gladen M10 in a JL-branded stealth box made for the Jimny. By 18 December it was running from two bridged channels of his Sony amplifier, and he found the bass disappointing, which he put down to the factory head unit rather than the sub. That's his own diagnosis, not a measured test, and it isn't about the Morel box, but it shows how much the amplifier and signal chain shape the result. If you've fitted the Morel Jimny Enclosure, tell us how it went.

Morel Jimny Enclosure vs JL Jimny Stealthbox

Our JL Audio Suzuki Jimny Stealthbox lists at ₹37,490, which is ₹3,500 above the Morel. The JL Jimny Stealthbox listing describes a form-fitted fibreglass housing tailored to the Jimny, but it doesn't name the JL sub inside or give its ratings. So on paper you know more about the Morel's driver, and more about the JL's construction. We found no owner reviews of either.

The third option is a box made around your own Jimny. VA3 Car Studio builds custom subwoofer enclosures, so you choose both the driver and the shape. A smaller driver is one way to keep a box compact, such as the 8-inch KS804 that Morel uses in its Scorpio N Enclosure; our Morel Kinetic KS104 review covers the 10-inch driver in this box.

Who should buy it, and who shouldn't

Buy it if you want the KS104 in a box made for the Jimny, you'd rather not commission a custom build, and you'll pair it with a proper amplifier.

Skip it if the boot has to stay completely clear, or you want to see dimensions and owner feedback before you spend ₹33,990.

Installation notes for an off-road Jimny

If you take your Jimny off-road, rough tracks shake everything loose. The box needs solid fixing points, the amplifier should be screwed to a firm panel rather than stuck under a seat with tape, and every cable needs securing so it can't chafe. Fit grommets where cables pass through metal, and keep the amplifier clear of where dust and water get in when the rear door is open.

Heat is the other enemy. An amplifier buried under carpet in a car parked in the sun can overheat and shut down, so leave it room to breathe. VA3 Car Studio in Ghaziabad offers professional installation if you'd rather hand the job over.

Price and where to buy

₹33,990 is the MRP for the Morel Jimny Enclosure, with the KS104 included. We often sell below MRP, so the number to check is the one on our Jimny enclosure listing on the day you buy; the product itself is genuine Morel.

The bottom line

For a Jimny owner, the Morel Jimny Enclosure answers the driver question clearly, with a 300 W RMS, 88 dB Kinetic 10-inch, and leaves the box details to a fitment check. Pair it with a proper 4-ohm amplifier and a clean signal, and confirm fitment for your model year first. There's no owner feedback yet, so you're buying on specification.

Morel Jimny Enclosure FAQ

Which driver does the Morel Jimny Enclosure use?

Morel's Kinetic KS104, a 10-inch (263 mm) driver with a 4-ohm load. Our listing rates it at 300 W RMS and 600 W peak, with 88 dB sensitivity.

Can I power it by bridging a four-channel amplifier?

Yes, if the amplifier is rated for a 4-ohm bridged load and its bridged output suits the KS104's 300 W RMS. A mono amplifier, or a dedicated sub channel such as the MPD 5.550's 250 W RMS at 4 ohms, is the simpler match.

Is it the same as the JL Jimny Stealthbox?

No. The Stealthbox is a separate JL Audio product at ₹37,490 MRP, and our listing doesn't name its driver. The Morel box carries Morel's own Kinetic KS104 and costs ₹33,990 at MRP.
