Figures come from Audison's AF M6D page, a promotional document, and match our listing. Audison's help-centre product description repeats the three power ratings.
Reading the 135, 220 and 440 W ratings
Audison's headline quotes 220 W on each of six channels at 2 Ω, and the 1320 W total is that figure added up. At 4 Ω, the nominal impedance of many door speakers, each channel is rated at 135 W; set that against each driver's continuous RMS handling. All six channels share one ceiling, unlike the Audison SR 6.600, whose channels 5 and 6 are rated above channels 1–4.
Each pair can be bridged, and Audison's page headline describes the amplifier as fully bridgeable. It rates pairs 1/2, 3/4 and 5/6 at 440 W each into 4 Ω, the minimum bridged load. A single 4 Ω subwoofer on one pair therefore receives 440 W, against 520 W on a pair of the Audison AF M4D.
The five example layouts in Audison's manual
The AF M6D section of Audison's help centre lists nine manual articles, the last being installation examples. We could not read its diagrams, so these are the five titles:
AF M5.11 bit + AF M6D (3 way front + 2 way rear + sub)
AF M6D + AF M4D + bit DSP (3 way front + rear + sub)
AF M6D + OEM head unit (front + rear + centre + sub)
AF M6D + aftermarket head unit PRE (front + rear + bridge sub)
AF M6D + aftermarket head unit PRE (bridge left + right + bridge sub)
The first two pair the M6D with Audison DSP. The last three name only a head unit, and the titles do not say what sits between it and the amplifier. Our Audison AF M1D review reports Audison's statement that only the M1D can also run standalone, so check the diagrams before you buy cable.
Straight wire and the companion role
Audison positions the AF D range as add-on power for its AF bit amplifiers, with a plug-and-play signal harness included, and as suited to a standalone bit processor. It describes a straight-wire architecture without analogue preamp functions such as crossover filtering, intended for external processors. The AF Link accessory cable carries the DSP OUT outputs of an AF bit amplifier into the PRE IN inputs of an AF D amplifier. Audison's AF M1.7 bit page adds that the M1.7 bit is also the system controller for non-DSP amplifiers such as the Forza M6D, and we list the Audison AF M1.7 bit. Our guide to DSP in car audio explains where a processor fits, and VA3 Car Studio offers DSP tuning.
Inputs, remote and the box list
The M6D has pre-level inputs (0.6–6 V RMS) and speaker-level inputs (2.2–22 V RMS), with USS loading on the speaker-level side and ART turn-on from the speaker outputs (1.5 V DC, selectable). Audison also lists a remote input (4–15 V), a remote output (6.5–15 V, 150 mA) and ±12 dB sub-volume control through the optional VCR-S2.
Audison's box list names a remote in/out cable, a 6-channel speaker-out cable, a 2-channel pre-in cable and the Forza install kit. It names no speaker-in cable, whereas its lists for the AF C4D, AF M4D and AF M1D do, and the OnlineCarStereo listing names none either. Our listing says the Forza cable set is included, so confirm what it contains before planning a speaker-level connection.
What owners and reviewers say about the Audison AF M6D
We found no owner reviews of the Audison AF M6D when we checked in October 2026. OnlineCarStereo's AF M6D page, from a US retailer, carries no reviews or star rating and does not say whether it moderates reviews. Audison's pages are promotional, so we have not treated them as opinions; weigh the ratings accordingly.
Audison AF M6D vs SR 6.600, AF M4D, AF M5.11 bit and JL Audio XDM600/6
The Audison SR 6.600 (₹69,990) is the other six-channel Audison we list. Audison rates it at 85 W x 4 plus 110 W x 2 into 4 Ω and 140 W x 4 plus 185 W x 2 into 2 Ω, so every M6D channel is rated higher, but the SR 6.600 has built-in filters and rates channels 5 and 6 down to 1 Ω. It is 314 x 155 x 47.4 mm and 2.52 kg against the M6D's 240 x 156 x 47 mm and 1.95 kg, and it costs ₹30,000 less. Audison lists 54 A at maximum musical power for it against 60 A for the M6D.
The Audison AF M4D has the same ₹99,990 MRP and footprint, with two fewer channels, a higher rating per channel (160 W into 4 Ω, 260 W into 2 Ω), a lower total (1040 W against 1320 W) and 2 x 30 A fuses against the M6D's 2 x 35 A.
The Audison AF M5.11 bit (₹1,99,990) is rated 100 W x 4 plus 400 W into 4 Ω with an 11-channel DSP built in, and costs ₹1,00,000 more. It is the amplifier in the first of Audison's example layouts.
The JL Audio XDM600/6 costs ₹1,09,990, which is ₹10,000 more. JL rates it at 75 W x 6 into 4 Ω and 100 W x 6 into 2 Ω, lower than the Audison at both loads, and adds selectable 12 dB/oct filters from 50 to 500 Hz.
Who should buy it, and who shouldn't
Buy the AF M6D if a processor or an AF bit amplifier will sit in front of it, you want six matched channels at 135 W into 4 Ω or three bridged pairs at 440 W, and you can run a power cable and fusing sized for the 60 A Audison lists.
Look elsewhere if you want filters on the amplifier, as on the SR 6.600 at ₹30,000 less; want the processor in the same chassis, as with the AF M5.11 bit; or need only four channels, where the AF M4D has the same MRP and a higher rating per channel.
Installation notes for Indian cars
Audison lists two 35 A fuses, 1.2 A at idle and 60 A at maximum musical power (14.4 V, 2 Ω), with an operating supply of 6.5–17.5 V. That is more than the 47 A listed for the AF M4D, so size the power cable and fusing to the M6D's own figures. Audison's help centre has M6D articles on installation, cable size and fuse replacement. We could not open them, so read them before buying cable.
Audison lists 81% efficiency, so some input power leaves as heat; its AFM-CLK cooling kit is described for the Forza Max line, not the M6D, so leave clear air around the case. VA3 Car Studio in Ghaziabad offers professional installation.
Price and where to buy
