Morel Ultimo Ti 102 Review: 1,000 W RMS on One 2-Ohm Coil, and What It Takes
The Morel Ultimo Ti 102 is the 10-inch, 2-ohm model in Morel's Ultimo Titanium subwoofer line, rated at 1,000 W RMS and 3,000 W peak, with 86.1 dB sensitivity and a listed response of 10 Hz to 900 Hz. Its Indian MRP is ₹1,39,990, which makes it the most expensive 10-inch Morel sub we list; only the 12-inch Ti 122 costs more. The 10-inch Ultimo Titanium won EISA's European In-Car Subwoofer award for 2014-2015. It suits a planned high-power system with room for a conventional box. See today's offer on our Morel Ultimo Ti 102 product page.

Key takeaways
A single 2-ohm voice coil rated at 1,000 W RMS: the most power handling of the 10-inch Morel subs we sell.
It needs a mono amplifier that is genuinely 2-ohm stable, plus power wiring and fusing to match.
A US retailer's spec sheet lists sealed boxes of 0.42 to 1.77 cu ft and ported boxes of 0.53 to 1.77 cu ft.
We found no owner reviews, and Morel's own pages were unreachable when we checked.

Power, impedance, sensitivity and response come from our store listing. The construction, Thiele-Small, depth and cutout rows come from US retailer OnlineCarStereo's spec sheet, because Morel's website returned an error each time we tried it in October 2026 and the Morel manual we found is an image-only file. Measure the driver before cutting a baffle.
What sets the Ultimo Titanium apart
Morel's description of the series, as reproduced by UK retailer Celsus ICE on its page for the 4-ohm Ti 104, makes several claims. A titanium voice-coil former improves transient response and reduces distortion. A copper shorting ring flattens the impedance curve. It also lists the 5.1-inch external voice coil, a dual-magnet motor that Morel puts at over 90% efficient, and a Progression Field Symmetry spider and surround. Together, Morel says, these let the sub work in compact boxes while staying linear and low in distortion.
That is manufacturer wording, not test data. What the published numbers do show is a driver rated for a lot of power on one coil, so the amplifier and wiring matter as much as the box.
Box sizes: what's published, and how to use it
OnlineCarStereo's spec sheet suggests a sealed box of 0.42 to 1.77 cu ft (about 12 to 50 litres) and a ported box of 0.53 to 1.77 cu ft (about 15 to 50 litres), with a port 3 inches in diameter and 14.76 inches long. Those ranges are wide: as a rule, a smaller sealed box gives tighter bass and a larger one reaches deeper, while a ported box trades space for output near its tuning.
Because we couldn't confirm these figures on Morel's own page, treat them as a starting point and check the manual supplied with the sub. VA3 Car Studio builds custom subwoofer enclosures, so once you've settled on a volume, we can build the box to it and shape it to your boot.
The amplifier and wiring a 1,000 W sub needs
A single 2-ohm coil always presents 2 ohms, so read an amplifier's 2-ohm rating. Morel's own MPS 1.1100 Limited is listed at 1,100 W RMS into 2 ohms, a close match; keep its gain below full output. The JL Audio JD1000/1 is rated at 1,000 W into 2 ohms at 14.4 V but 800 W at 12.5 V, which shows how much output a sagging voltage costs at idle with the AC running.
Amplifiers of this class need proper power wiring. JL fits the JD1000/1 with an 80 A fuse, and Alpine's manual for the R2-A150M, which makes 1,200 W into 2 ohms, calls for 4 AWG (21 mm²) cable up to 4 m and an external fuse of at least 150 A. That Alpine is also more than the Ti 102's rating, so set the gain carefully.
For two Ti 102s, wiring them in parallel gives 1 ohm. The Zapco ST-1500XM III is rated at 1,600 W into 1 ohm, about 800 W per sub. In series they present 4 ohms, where most mono amplifiers make much less.
What owners and reviewers say about the Morel Ultimo Ti 102
When we checked in October 2026, the clearest third-party verdict was an award. EISA's 2014-2015 award list names the Morel Ultimo 10 Titanium as its European In-Car Subwoofer, without saying which impedance version, and Crutchfield's page for the Ti 102 claims that award for this model. EISA's page carries no jury text, so we can't tell you what the jurors praised.
We found no owner reviews: OnlineCarStereo and Celsus ICE had none, Crutchfield's review section didn't load, DIYMobileAudio blocked us, and searches found no Team-BHP threads. So there is no owner consensus to report. If you run a Ti 102, we'd like to hear how it has held up.
Morel Ultimo Ti 102 vs Ti 122, Ti SC 102 and PS 104D
The Morel Ultimo Ti 122 (₹1,49,990 MRP) is the 12-inch version, with the same 1,000 W RMS rating, 87 dB sensitivity and a 117-litre Vas. It needs a larger box, with OnlineCarStereo suggesting 1.59 cu ft ported.
The Ultimo Ti SC 102 (₹79,990 MRP) is also a 10-inch, 2-ohm sub with a titanium former and a 5.1-inch coil in retailer descriptions, but it is rated at 600 W RMS and 2,000 W peak. For an amplifier of about 600 W into 2 ohms, the SC is the better match. The Ultimo PS 104D (₹84,990 MRP) is the shallow choice, at about 80 mm deep, with dual 4-ohm coils and 700 W RMS.
Who should buy it, and who shouldn't
Buy the Ti 102 if you want the most power handling of the 10-inch Morel subs we sell, you'll budget for a 1,000 W-class 2-ohm amplifier and its wiring, and you have room for a conventional-depth box.
Look elsewhere if your amplifier makes around 500 W to 600 W into 2 ohms (the Ti SC 102 suits it better), depth is the problem (the PS 104D), or you want an owner track record, which we couldn't find.
Installation notes for Indian cars
At about 135 mm deep, the Ti 102 needs a conventional box, so plan for it to take some boot space; a ported box at the large end of the range takes a lot. Brace the box well and bolt it down so it can't shift over speed breakers.
Plan the electrical side first: follow the amplifier maker's cable and fuse specification, fuse near the battery, and ventilate the amplifier in a hot boot. A charging system that already struggles with the AC on at idle will struggle more with a 1,000 W amplifier. VA3 Car Studio in Ghaziabad offers professional installation, and DSP tuning to blend the sub with the front speakers.
Price and where to buy
The Morel Ultimo Ti 102 has an Indian MRP of ₹1,39,990. Check current pricing and stock on the Ultimo Ti 102 listing in our store. Every unit we sell is a genuine Morel product.

The bottom line
The Morel Ultimo Ti 102 is a 10-inch that asks a lot of the rest of the system: 1,000 W RMS into a single 2-ohm coil, with wiring and a charging system to match. It carries a European award for the 10-inch Ultimo Titanium, but we couldn't verify its box figures with Morel or find owners' reports. Buy it as part of a planned build, not as a drop-in upgrade.
