Morel Ultimo Ti SC 122 Review: The 600 W Ultimo 12-Inch vs the PowerSlim
The Morel Ultimo Ti SC 122 is a 12-inch, 2-ohm subwoofer from Morel's Ultimo Titanium SC line, rated at 600 W RMS and 2,000 W peak, with 87 dB sensitivity and a listed response of 10 Hz to 900 Hz. Its Indian MRP is ₹84,990, the same as the 10-inch PowerSlim and ₹5,000 below the 12-inch PS 124D, which makes it the lowest-priced 12-inch Ultimo we list. It suits buyers who want a 12-inch Ultimo in a conventional box and plan to drive it with a 600 W-class mono amplifier. See today's offer on our Morel Ultimo Ti SC 122 product page.

Key takeaways
A single 2-ohm coil rated at 600 W RMS, with retailer descriptions listing a titanium former and a 5.1-inch Hexatech external coil.
Its 87 dB listed sensitivity matches the Ti 122's and is 4 dB above the PS 124D's.
A US retailer suggests 0.71 cu ft (about 20 litres) sealed or 1.59 cu ft (about 45 litres) ported.
Choose it over the PS 124D when you have normal mounting depth; we found no owner reviews of either.

Power, impedance, sensitivity and response come from our store listing. The other rows come from US retailer OnlineCarStereo's spec sheet, because Morel's website returned an error each time we tried it in October 2026. That listing gives 87 dB at 1 W rather than at 2.83 V, so treat small differences with caution.
Ti SC 122 or PS 124D: two 12-inch Ultimos at almost the same price
The Morel Ultimo PS 124D costs ₹89,990, only ₹5,000 more, so many buyers will weigh the two. The choice comes down to depth. The PS 124D needs 86 mm and has dual 4-ohm coils, a 700 W RMS rating, 83 dB sensitivity and Morel's own published boxes of 0.8 cu ft sealed or 1.4 cu ft vented. The Ti SC 122 needs about 144 mm, but its listed sensitivity is 4 dB higher: 87 dB against 83 dB, both at 2.83 V.
If your install has normal depth, the Ti SC 122 gives you that sensitivity and a single 2-ohm coil that suits mid-power mono amplifiers. If depth is the limit, the PowerSlim is the one that fits, and EISA's jury gave it a subwoofer award.
What Morel says about the Ultimo Titanium SC
Morel's description of the SC series, reproduced by UK retailer Celsus ICE on its page for the 10-inch model, promises audiophile bass quality and high power output at what Morel calls a great consumer value. It credits a titanium former for dynamics and low distortion, a 5.1-inch Hexatech external coil of hexagonal aluminium wire two to three times thicker than standard, a DMM double-magnet ferrite motor at over 90% efficiency, and a hybrid paper and carbon-fibre cone. That is promotional wording; no measurements back it in what we read.
Box sizes: about 20 litres sealed or 45 litres ported
OnlineCarStereo suggests a sealed box of 0.71 cu ft (about 20 litres) or a ported box of 1.59 cu ft (about 45 litres) with a port 4 inches in diameter and 19.2 inches long, and says the sub isn't suited to free-air mounting. The sealed box is easier to fit; the ported box needs more than twice the space for more output near its tuning.
We couldn't check these volumes against Morel's own page, so confirm them in the manual supplied with the sub. VA3 Car Studio builds custom subwoofer enclosures, so we can build to the confirmed volume and shape the box around your boot.
Amplifier pairing for a 600 W, 2-ohm 12-inch
The JL Audio XDM600/1 is rated at 600 W into 2 ohms at 14.4 V, an exact match, but 500 W at 12.5 V, so expect less when the voltage sags at idle with the AC on. Morel's own MPS 1.550 is listed at 550 W into 2 ohms, just under the sub's rating.
For two Ti SC 122s wired in parallel at 1 ohm, the Deaf Bonce MFA-1.1000 is rated at 1,000 W into 1 ohm, its minimum load, or about 500 W per sub. Its manual asks for each power cable to be fused within 40 cm of the battery. Whatever the amplifier, set the gain with a test tone.
What owners and reviewers say about the Morel Ultimo Ti SC 122
When we checked in October 2026, we found no owner reviews or press tests of the Ti SC 122. OnlineCarStereo's listing had no customer reviews, and the Celsus ICE page for the series had none. The Ultimo awards we could find went to other models: EISA's 2014-2015 subwoofer award to the 10-inch Ultimo Titanium, and its 2023-2024 award to the 12-inch PowerSlim.
So there's no consensus to report on how this model sounds or lasts. If you own a Ti SC 122, we'd like to hear about your box, your amplifier and your experience.
Morel Ultimo Ti SC 122 vs Ti 122 and Ti SC 102
The Morel Ultimo Ti 122 (₹1,49,990 MRP) is the 1,000 W RMS 12-inch, with a listed Xmax of 12.5 mm against the SC's 9.5 mm. OnlineCarStereo suggests the same 1.59 cu ft ported volume for both. Pay the extra ₹65,000 only if you'll run a 1,000 W-class amplifier.
The Ultimo Ti SC 102 (₹79,990 MRP) is the 10-inch SC, with the same 600 W RMS rating, 86 dB and smaller suggested boxes of 0.46 cu ft sealed or 1.02 cu ft ported.
Who should buy it, and who shouldn't
Buy the Ti SC 122 if you want a 12-inch Ultimo at the lowest 12-inch Ultimo MRP we list, you have normal mounting depth and about 20 litres for a sealed box, and you'll pair it with an amplifier of around 550 W to 600 W into 2 ohms.
Look elsewhere if depth is tight (the PS 124D), you're running a 1,000 W amplifier (the Ti 122), or you'd rather keep the boot free for luggage, in which case a 10-inch sub in a smaller box makes more sense.
Installation notes for Indian cars
A 20-litre sealed box can often sit against the rear seat back of a sedan or SUV. Measure the boot opening as well as the floor, because a 12-inch enclosure has to get through it. Bolt or strap the box down so it can't move over speed breakers, and seal it well to avoid rattles.
Fuse the amplifier's power cable close to the battery, grommet it where it passes through metal, and give the amplifier airflow in a hot boot. VA3 Car Studio in Ghaziabad offers professional installation, and DSP tuning to blend the sub with your front speakers.

The bottom line
The Morel Ultimo Ti SC 122 is the conventional-depth 12-inch Ultimo for a 600 W amplifier, with the lowest 12-inch Ultimo MRP we list. It costs about the same as the shallow PS 124D, so let your mounting depth decide between them. With no owner reports and Morel's own figures out of reach, confirm the box volume from the manual before building.
